You have to be joking me. There is no way that time-out was called before the roll. That is crazy. I will side with Devil58 when he comes back with his verdict on the rule on the walk call.

I didn't see the play from start to finish. From what the officials said I would have to agree with him. I was told the time-out was called verbally as soon as he grabbed the ball. I don't know if that is exactly what happened because I didn't see all of it. When I asked earlier what was wrong with it, I was really wondering. So, I don't know what I would have called, I'm sure it was a tough call that could have went either way. I'm not being politically correct, I really couldn't say unless I'd seen everything that happened. Was he dribbling before he fell, did he dive and roll, did he just grab and fall? I really don't know

When Blair ripped it away from the Raceland player he rolled over top of him. I guess at the point that you refer to, both players had their hands on the ball, so it should have been a jump ball. In situations like that, I feel it is tough to reward a person for saying time-out, when both kids have the ball. Does the advantage go to the offensive player. It is an interesting thing that happens alot in the all games. Just thought I would throw that out there.

That is a great point. Rules are meant to keep one team from gaining an advantage. That is something they(N.F.H.S.) should look at. :thumb:

The intentional foul. Don't understand cause it was away from the ball. All I know was there was a lot of shirt stretching and after a ref warns all night. Some where he's going to blow the whistle. On the time out. Blair had called time out when he was in the process of the roll. If you were sitting on the home side. You could plainly see it. 2 players hustling for the ball and Blair comes out with it. Russell try to hand Raceland one and the Rams could not take advantage of it. Good game #41. Russell is going to have to play better.

Turner was getting good position underneath and then he would get subbed ?????

Russell is going to have to score quicker and quit coming up empty handed after running 40 - 50 sec off the clock. Good game for both teams & good hustle. Ref's were not a factor unless you were looking thru maroon or orange glasses. Go Devils thursday against Greenup Co. :fire: :fire: :fire:

Blair called the time out in the process of the roll. As a matter of fact. his feet was in the air because of the roll when he called the time out. If you were sitting on the home side you could plainly see it. Good call. Now at the end there might have been a foul ????? Put the stripe shirt ??????

I few questionable calls down the stretch for the Devils. Did anyone see what happened on the intentional foul? That was a big one with all the rough play.I agree that the rough play was both ways. That why I say that it was a big one. The time-out as Blair is rolling over a Raceland player and the no call on Spark's shot.

What don't you understand about the statement? It's really pretty simple to understand. If Russell doesn't play better against Greenup Co. then the Musketeers will beat them again.

Gil broke towards the foul line and the Raceland kid reached out and grabbed his jersey to stop him. Evidentally he had just been warned about grabbing jerseys.

At the time of this foul, I believe the intent was to foul Gill to send him to the line as he has the lowest % on freebies. It appeared that he did try to foul Gill (on purpose) but did not expect to get the intentonal foul called.

You are welcome, my friend. I did not want these two teams to have to play in the first round. It would have been great for these teams to play twice in the finals. I have strong ties to both communities and schools.

 

Coach Johnson and his staff continue to get everything a player has to offer laid on the line for every game. The experts say a coach cannot teach a player to have heart. I disagree! Coach Johnson has had a very positive impact in the lives his players on and off the court. They give their all for him, the school and the community each game. I also enjoyed seeing the Rams at church Sunday with the coaching staff. I am very proud of these Rams and I know you and the other fans are also.

 

I hope you can cheer for our Devils Thursday and at Morehead. :fire:
