Play 2 Win Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Van Hoose with 16. Stewart with 11. Russell won the battle in the paint 32-6
addout Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I may make the trip to Morehead to see the finals with Elliott County! When will it be played?
GOREDDEVILS Posted March 11, 2006 Author Posted March 11, 2006 I may make the trip to Morehead to see the finals with Elliott County! When will it be played? tomorrow at 7
Play 2 Win Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Tomorrow night at 7 I think. I know it's tomorrow. Not sure on the time.
Statmaster Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Looks like Fairview overlooked Russell somehow. Congrats to Devils.
addout Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 tomorrow at 7 Thanks, I think this one will be worth the 2 hr 20 min. drive!
Wireman Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I never expected a blowout either way. Russell either played a super game or Fairview played a bad game - or both.
Bandit29 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 fairview played a bad game......they looked like they were tired the whole game.....russell played a great game though....congrats red devils
Frances Bavier Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Come tomorrow night at 9PM, someone's gonna be dancing ... Big win for the Devils. I picked Fairview to make their first trip to Rupp, but it looks like I was wrong. Good luck to Elliott and Russell tomorrow night - may the best team win. Frances
oldschoolballer Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Fairview must have been sniffing fumes on the way over....lethargic, and never in it. Of course, this game is much tougher when you don't shoot 60%.
Goliath Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 From what the Russell radio announcers were saying, it sounded like several of Fairview's best players were very sick with the flu? Any thoughts on this?
oldrambler Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 It seems like Fairview had been making their reservations in Lexington and forgot they had to play a ball game tonight. Shoud be a good final Saturday. Congrats to Russell.
goherd96 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 From what the Russell radio announcers were saying, it sounded like several of Fairview's best players were very sick with the flu? Any thoughts on this? Russell also had two starters fighting the flu, not to mention Gill playing on a bad ankle after his first quarter injury. Being sick does not entirely account for a 30 point differential...:thumb:
UKCATSFAN Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 From what the Russell radio announcers were saying, it sounded like several of Fairview's best players were very sick with the flu? Any thoughts on this? Alex Barker was very, very ill. He had to have a few shots today and robaly shouldn't have played. I spoke with him before the game and he looked really bad, very very lethargic. I hope he gets well soon, he's great kid. I heard that Black had been ill but was supposedly fine, although he didn't look like his usual self. It really didn't matter though, I don't think anyone in the region could have beat the Devils tonight. They played awesome. It was a complete team victory. Vanhoose, Blair, Gil, Turner, Lavender, and Frasier all played well. They attacked and attacked some more. Looks like Russell has found their inside game, they outscored Fairview 32-6 in the paint tonight. They were clicking on all cylinders. Tomorrow will be a tough game, I think Elliott has shown everyone they're for real. Should be interesting.       :fire:
