GOREDDEVILS Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Wtg Devils!!!:dancingpa Congrats to Rowan County on a nice season.
Butterfly Baby Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Don't really think that was an upset was it ? The way they have been playing, I think so. But you are entitled to yours
oldrambler Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Of course, with this years region - I really don't think that any could be considered upsets - there is no absolute dominate team.
Powerhouse Cats Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Any word on who lead each team in scoring? I know Gill of Russell had a good game. I'm not sure if he was the leader but he would have to be up there. I'd say he had a double double.
Frances Bavier Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Congrats to Russell. Maybe they are back on track? Did anyone show up for the game wearing a Maroon Velvet Sportcoat? Perhaps a bumblebee pattern sweater? Maybe a duck's outfit? Frances
DEVILPRIDE78 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Good win for the Devils. TEAM play tonight. Gill & Sizemore both had a good games. Good to see the other starters step up and get involved in the game when Vanhoose has an off night scoreing. Don't let up and keep that true Devil Pride going when you put on the Maroon & Gold. :fire: :fire: :fire:
Play 2 Win Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Russell with the upset. Don't see how you can call this an upset when Russell recently beat them at Rowan.
shooterx3 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 well, maybe he was looking at we only beat them by 4 with Kasey, and without Kasey, Russell would lose? Nice team win, led by Gill and Turner, the "missing inside presence" showed up as Russell controlled the boards , 38-23 led by Gill's, 11, Sizemore and Simpson did great job holding Daniel scoreless in the second half. Van Hoose and Blair scored 18 each in last win, scored 6 and 8 in this one, and Russell wins by more? hmmmmm, there is something to this TEAM thing:thumb: survive and advance That sexy/rexy guy gonna be tough!
BigCat23 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Seems like not to long ago there was a big stir about kasey leaving the team, some even thought it would destroy Russell's chances for post season play. For whatever reason Kasey left I wish him the best. Good win for Russell over a good Rowan team that just kept improving all season. I agree that u really had few games in the 16th region this season that u could call upsets. I like the fact that it was such a close region all year that it kept u guessing from game to game.
WVA Boy Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 The "Blazer" was correct again!!! A team with an 'R" did win!!! He is a amazing!! :scared: As a side note: His four "most bestest favoritest teams" that he picked to win or will pick to win are still in the regional tournament!!! UKCATSFAN , for what its worth- I do not have a problem with the Amazing Technicolor Blazer and you are right - he definitely loves the air time and notoriety. If it bothers/puzzles you that hack on him, you probably wouldn't want to go golfing with us either.

Maybe he could invite you to Thanksgiving Diner this year. I'll save a seat for you. :thumb:
BogeyMan Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 This was a very ugly game. Nobody could make a shot. I'm still trying to decide if it was good defense or poor offense.
