  1. Hey Raceland fans - what is the condition of the field for this game? Someone started a thread about this and so it made me wonder what the condition of the field will be for this game - especially after last weeks beating the field probably took!
  2. LCA moved last weeks game to LexCath (thank you LexCath!) so it wouldnt be so torn up for the PLAYOFFS... The field is brown (bermuda) but in great condition! Bath County and their running game should be glad to hear this...
  3. He will probably not be used as much as Hunter would like - he has been off - no contact - for 9 weeks - however, he has been on the practice field in full gear everyday - learning plays/schemes - just wasnt able to HIT...so he will need a few games to get back into "game speed" - but he is a great athlete and we will need him this week at least on Defense.
  4. She was my 2nd choice - she actually scoped both of my knees (old Catcher) at the same time - Arthroscopic. She does alot of the UK knees as well.
  5. Let me recommend Dr. Rick Lyons - he is the BEST in Lexington. He ended up performing the surgery on my son last year and he came back to play the last 9 games of his Senior year for LCA only 13 weeks after surgery! He also worked his tail off to do that. Dr. Lyons is very good and I can get his cell# to the Denton's if you PM me...
  6. LexChristian's Freshmen are VARSITY STARTERS - QB & RB are both frosh! This is the "norm" for Class A football - we are lucky to have a JV team...
  7. Here are some interesting (or maybe not) items as I look at the remaining 4 teams from our District left in the play-offs… Team Against ALL District PF-PA (Record) LCA 37.33 - 6.33 (6-0) RHS 43.17 - 9.17 (5-1) Paris 29.00 - 23.67 (4-2) Bath 21.17 - 21.17 (3-3) Team AgainstPlay-OffTeams ONLY PF-PA (Record) LCA 36.67 - 10.67 (3-0) RHS 34.67 - 13.67 (2-1) Paris 14.00 - 37.33 (1-2) Bath 12.00 - 35.67 (0-3) Team Hd-2-Hd Score LCA Bath 33-8 LCA RHS 21-10 LCA Paris 56-14
  8. Repeat is my vote as well. Beechies by 3 or 4 TD's.
  9. Cville - you are correct - Rains and his staff have done a spectacular job this year with THIS team because they really lost the entire set of SKILL players from last years team and were able to re-build to have a BETTER TEAM than last year IMO. The keys to this years squad is TEAM and SPEED...they are all smart kids or they wouldnt make it in the classroom at LCA - much more difficult classes and expectations than normal school systems - so the coaching staff is able to throw more challenging schemes at them and teach them "next-level" types of plays and formations, etc.
  10. Raceland will take this by 3 or 4 TD's... I think Paris will stay with them for the 1st half and then the Hounds will wear down and Raceland's speed and special teams will take care of things in the 2nd half. Good luck to both teams and I hope it is alot closer game than I think it will be.
  11. 1. I hope Stevens is 100% for this game. THAT will make it more interesting. 2. There have been MANY teams this year who have had a "bad game" when they played LCA - maybe there is some "credit" to be given to LCA's defensive team speed - because it is REAL! 3. WHAT is the Mt. Sterling Thunder?
  12. NCC - 21 HC - 10 I think it will be a tough game but no way will NCC make that # of turn-overs again in this game...they will protect the ball. Good luck to both teams!
  13. RB74 - Thanks for the mention but I am not the person always looking back at that stat of who has ever/nver defeated who - not a meaningful thing to me - different players & coaches sometimes as well. I like to review previous head-to-head (same season) and common opponents results, etc.
  14. Great season Bath Co and congrats on the win! We look forward to hosting you next week in Lexington. Also, good job Nicholas Co this year as well. I trust there were no injuries on either team?
  15. LCA also had great balance on Offense... 174 yds on 26 rushes 169 yds on 14 fo 27 passes LCA's defense was absolutely amazing once again. Team speed on Defense is under-rated for sure.
  16. OldRambler - make sure you are on standby at your email tonight...I will keep you posted on the LCA-Fairview game and you do the same back to me on the Raceland-Paris! Good luck! :thumb:
  17. AND the ALL-A BOWL will consist of: Frankfort Williamsburg Campbellsville LCA pretty good Class-A Football schools...should be a good bowl for the next 2 years!
  18. And you FAULT LCA for that?! LCA played the last two years in the LexCath bowl - Last year versus LexCath - LCA got drilled 52-14. This year against Mercer Co - LCA got hammered 63-0. What do you think - do those games do anyone any good at all? So LCA decided to stay in their own league and create their own BOWL GAME for an ALL-A BOWL with ...yes you guessed it - all Class A schools. Big time thumpings do no one any good at all!
  19. IceColdV - yu may not know this but LCA is hosting its own BOWL GAME next year with a 4-team All-A Classic...so if you were referring to us not coming to the LexCath bowl again - that would be the reason... Very legit I might add... AND LexCath has been EXTREMELY gracious and supportive LCA's Football program ever since Coach Rains took over - Rains and Sphire go way back - in EKY HS coaching against each other. Our programs are intertwined down to the 1st-6th grade levels by playing against each other in Flag & 8-man full contact. LexCath has been tremendous to LCA and has been ther eto help us along form the get-go - allowing us to use thier field for our Home games even when we had no field. You will NEVER hear me bad-mouth our big brother in any way!:thumb:
  20. We have a great relationship with LexCath...What invite for next year?
  21. With the weather, this game becomes even closer, but I think Raceland will still come out on top. Muddy fields dont help slashing runner's but it does help GIANT Linemen! Good luck to both teams and prayers for no injuries.
  22. It HAS been moved! They have been notified as per the LCA AD...
  23. This just in... This game will now be played AT LEXINGTON CATHOLIC's field tonight due to the weather. FYI...This is NO JOKE!
  24. LCA hosts Fairview and I can guarantee that the EAGLES WIN this one! The question is...WHICH set of EAGLES will win?
  25. That theory doesnt work everywhere...it would be closer for LCA to travel to NKY than to Ashland(Raceland & Fairview) - I am sure there are other scenarios where the intra-District travel yields 2-hour routes...no big deal - hey it's HS football - who cares how far you have to travel - as long as you GET to play the game and keep on playing, right!?
