LCA @ Paris
I think LCA has their hands FULL tonight! Paris has the horses and they are MATURE - like 14 or 15 Seniors... LCA plays a bunch of young guys - especially Freshmen. This should be one of the better games in this area and has the makings for OverTime as well... Paris has the running game with Wilhite (140yds/game avg) and LCA has the Passing attack and a pretty solid TEAM defense. However, Running teams seem to bother LCA more than passing teams - (MercerCo/Corbin = running teams)...

LCA @ Paris
Correct... For example, let's say it works out in District play as follows: LCA 6-0 Raceland 5-1 Paris 4-2 Bath 3-3 then the seedings for the first round of the playoffs would be: #1 LCA plays #4 Bath AT LCA #2 Raceland plays #3 Paris AT Raceland 2nd Round would be the District Title game of the Winners of the 1st round with the Home team being the best seeded remaining team. Then that 2nd round winner would be HOST (this year because of EVEN year) to the N.Ky District 5 winner... The above was for an example ONLY - and please do not read into it as being my prediction - just an example. :jump:

Jimmy & OldRambler - I hate to break this news to you, but none of these games actually determine the DISTRICT CHAMPS this year... Let me explain...the new format has it that the District games ONLY establish the seedings 1 thru 4 for the Playoffs - which ARE WITHIN our own District this year...so the #1 plays #4 and #2 plays #3 and then the winners play in the 2nd round of the playoffs for the DISTRICT TITLE! Strange but that is how it has been established starting this year.

No dis-respect intended to those MIGHTY RAM fans... BUT, this is a thread on the LCA vs Paris game coming up. Let's get this back onto the topic at hand... Did anyone see local Lexingotn news yesterday morning where they interviewed Chase Dumphord, the HUGE lineman for Paris? He looks like a stud D-1 lineman at 6'7" 310#! He plays basketball as well and actually took a football and easily "dunked" it over the goal-post crossbar!

How does your team keep their stats?
We have allowed it as long as they are the non-playing players(ie Freshmen dads) OR are not carrying the ball (ie Linemen dads)... It is BEST to avoid it by all means - if possible - because it puts them in a situation they dont want either - the potential exists anyway.

How does your team keep their stats?
LCA has used FIXEDIT! Football Scorebook for 4 years now... It is simple and very efficient...I have recommended it to several schools because it works and they have very good support AND it is inexpensive! http://www.fixedit.com/football.shtml

Proposal 5
I think the Football Coaches NEED the dead period MORE than the kids do! So do their families! Kids are resilient and should be able to sustain the demands of athletics...we ALL did! :ylsuper: I do believe the dead period aligned by sport should be enforced and having Football' Dead period at the beginning of the Summer Break would be more beneficial to the coaches/programs/players for continuity of learning. Does Baseball or Basketball EVER stop?

Does Paris still have that QB - Crump from last year? or does he play another position this year? I liked what he produced and how he ran the offense last year! Who is thier QB now and how does he do - strengths & weeknesses?

Witt the Frosh QB was 4 of 4 for 178yds and 3TDs and ran 1TD in as well... So the "starter" frosh contributed 6 TDs between them...

LCA 69 Berea 6
Hayden had 3 carries for 51 YDs and 1TD...he also ran an INT back for a TD about 40 yds

Paris vs Bath Co - predictions?
RB - Yes I was at the game last week...I was in the PressBox long enough to setup my Stats guys and then long enough to get my laptop back at the end of the game...Why do you ask? Regarding speed, I think LCA is actually faster than Bath and I have yet to see Paris but I hear they are VERY fast... This should be a very good game tonite - I would rather watch it than the LCA-Berea game tonite - but I have to run Stats for the game...
