Paris 20 Bath Co. 16

Featured Replies

Final

Must have been a heck of a game! That would had been the game to see this week.

Actually Paris led 20-8 late in the third quarter and then had a 70 yard touchdown run call back which could've made it 26-8. The Hounds then had a bad snap on a punt attempt which saw Bath take over at the 1 yard line and one play after that, they scored to make it 20-16 after the two-point conversion. Bath got it back late in the fourth quarter and took it all the way down to the Hounds' five yard line for a first and goal but the Hounds defense held and Paris escaped with the victory! This one however, shouldn't have been this close ... Paris shot themselves in the foot on several occasions. Should be a great game between Paris and LCA.

Agreed :thumb:

Option Right is hallucinating - Bath came out as flat as possible for the first quarter and then outplayed them for three quarters. Bath had the game won but couldn't convert on 2nd and goal from the 4 with 3 minutes to go. In the first quarter it looked like Wilhite was going to run all over Bath and Bath stuck him pretty good in the 2nd Qrt and he laid down.

In the last three quarters Bath had twice as many yards as Paris and Bath allowed Paris only 3 first downs.

Give the kids from Paris credit they sucked it up when they had to but I'd guarantee that they don't want to play Bath again.

Talk about shooting themself in the foot - Bath passed to the 1 yard line with 5 minutes to go and it was called back for ineligible receiver downfield. It was that official's only flag he threw for the night.

And if Paris and Bath would meet again, I still say Paris wins but next time by a wider margin. Remember, Paris could've went up 26-8 if it had not been for a penalty that some questioned... and they (Paris) also lost their starting QB for most of the second half!!!

The block in the back was obvious - they could have thrown another flag around the 5 yard line on the same play for blocking in the back. I think there was a lot of questionable no flags.

Trumbo went out a few plays, but it's not that hard to hand the ball to Wilhite. Stevens went down with Bath 2nd and goal from the 4 to win the game. If Stevens don't come out of the game Paris is 4-2 insted of 5-1.

Wilhite is a stud. Little known stat from the game in the first half Wilhite had 67 yards. He had 68 yards on Paris first series. With that to have 67 at the half seems like the cats stopped him after the first series. Granted he toted the rock 12 times in the first half and 4 of those were in the first series. Somehow things like that don't get mentioned. Paris had the dead legs late in the game. The speed everyone talked about from Paris wasn't what I had been led to believe. They are fast the big guy 68 he wasn't their star friday night he was outplayed by Nick Wilson is what I observed.

Bath picked up momentum when they saw the pass was working.

Paris' defensive line and linebackers are good- I still say secondary needs work- secondary coach needs a wake-up call...

Wilhite is a good ball carrier, but I still say his best position I ever saw him play was at DE.

Yes Nick Wilson played good, you don't want to be the one he falls on!

Dumphord had too many holding penalties- he's a senior and shouldn't be making mistakes like that....

However Paris still won- their defense held Bath on the 8. A junior Jeremy SHupe whose name I have not ever seen mentioned, made some really big plays for Paris on defense during that series.

Good game Greyhounds!

Did Paris or Bath sustain any injuries from this game?

I am not impressed at all with Chase Dumphord (sp?)....

None that I know of.

Curious, as to why not?

Wayne Stevens has a hamstring problem. Did it occur in the LCA game or against Paris. I heard he would be out 2 weeks. Anyone that can confirm this please feel free to do so.

Curious, as to why not?

He's just big...He didn't do anything to overly impress me the whole game....He got in the backfield a few times, and failed to make a tackle...For as much as he's been hyped up by some, I wasnt impressed. As big as he is, he should be punishing people every play...
