  1. Well stated VOR! Thank you to all of those on BGP who are Veterans and have preserved our Freedom by risking their own lives and serving our great country! My son is a Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC at the moment - preparing for deployment when/where he is told to go! OOH RAH!

  6. I think it will be: LCA 45 Fairview 21 I think Fairview will score once in the first half and a little more in the 2nd half against LCA's JV/Frosh - but they will score
  7. F-troop? What is that? Your Grade school Cub Scout pack? I must be TOO YOUNG to know what you are referring to here?
  8. This is his 7th year @ LCA - it was 2003 Football Season when he came here.
  9. No "feathers" ruffled here - nice "pun" by the way! Eagles - feathers... LOL I just dont want our Kids reading this hype and forget who they are playing and what their focus is each week - because HAZARD still haunts ME!!! Raceland and LCA fans have so much respect for one another - it is amazing! We have created a great rivalry between our 2 schools in a very short time - since this is only our 10th year of Football (8th in Varsity level). Good luck to Raceland this week - and hopefully there will still be 2 District 5 teams left to play next week and we hope it is Raceland heading to Lexington next week - right!?
  10. This is the playoffs now - history means NOTHING - LCA remembers Hazard last year - trust me! Every game must be prepared for as though it is the Championship - because it is - If you lose - you are done - if you win - you move on to play another day and accept the next week's challenge. LCA is just another Class A HS Football team along with 15 others who are all capable of winning on any given night. This is more Fan hype than anything else - LCA players/coaches are "grounded" to the game-planning and preparation it takes to win each week - one week at a time. This week the focus is Fairview - period.
  11. The score surprises me but not the outcome...I thought it would be alot closer than this...Good job Fairview! We will be happy to host you next week at our place - and it is about an hour shorter drive too than what you had tonight!
  12. Great job Rams! We are happy you and Fairview are "representing" District 5 in the playoffs. Good luck next week in C-ville - enjoy the drive - Yikes! About 3 hrs? And by the way - I tell people all the time about Raceland's Fan base and environment for HS Football! You guys are the MODEL from my viewpoint and you do it right! I love coming to Raceland for Friday nite football! Great fans, great teams/coaches and an awesome place to visit and be welcomed by REAL FANATICS that demonstrate character and integrity for the game by respecting everyone involved...the way it should be! You guys rock!
  13. No Rusher Att Yds Lost Net Long TDs Avg 30 Dominique Hayden 19 223 6 217 43 6 11.4 Hayden ties Derek Homer (1993-1996 Ft Knox) for Career Rushing TD record of 110 TD/career - he had 6TDs from 19 carries for 217Yds.
  14. Coach, Sorry I misunderstood you...I think every team is dangerous in the playoffs and everyone is 0-0 now. As someone already mentioned - just ask LCA about Hazard last year! This is the BEST time of the year for true Football fans and I absolutely love the playoff season!
  15. 1A in general lacks depth! Football is a #'s game and the more kids you have dressed, the more likely you are to have depth. Thats why they classify Football in Kentucky versus other sports...Depth is critical and so you have to match schools up accordingly. How many 1A schools do you know that have more than 50 kids dressed - this includes Freshmen who often times are playing as well?
  16. This is exactly what LCA just did in the last 5 games of the regular season - they went 4-0(Scores of 200-0) within the District play and then defeated a VERY TOUGH and physical 2a Corbin last Friday nite 41-21. LCA just has to maintain focus one game at a time and keep all players healthy - because in 1A - you are just one injury away from disaster.
  17. He has a deep thigh bruise and will be out next week and then his ability to respond to treatment will determine whether he is able to play in the 2nd round or not - assuming LCA makes it past Berea, of course.
  18. I agree with you on the lower than normal attempts - here are Lucas Witt's attempts by Year for his career: Year Attempts 2006 154 2007 411 2008 321 2009 148 TTL 1,034
  19. The Stats ARE correct as I am the LCA STATS guy and have been for 10 years since we started the Football program here at LCA. The LCA Passing portion of the Offense is a Quick Strike program and so you can imagine they move the ball down the field quickly and with a strong running attack revert to the Run when you are in the redzone. LCA has had 371 Rush attempts versus 160 Passing Attempts after 10 games this season. Time Of Possession is LCA-281 mins versus Opp-318 mins.
  20. Correction on Bluto above...Witt ran for Net 52 Yds on 13 carries
  21. Look at Witt's stats Season To Date and the most interesting Stat of the year after 10 Regular Season Games is ZERO INT's!!!!! Passer Att Com Com% Int Yds Lng TDs YPP YPC QBR Lucas Witt 148 89 60.1 0 1536 80 24 10.4 17.3 135.0
  22. Congrats NCC - Go represent our REGION well - like you did last year! :thumb: Rams and fans - you guys had an awesome run this year and you have everything to be proud of - CLASS exudes throughout your program from the fans, the players and coaches - and we have had great discussions on BGP with all of you! You guys represented District 6 well. Thank you for that. Now we all need to pull for NCC and keep the State Title in our Region - just to show the other Regions where the toughest football gets played year in and year out...go look back at where the State Titles have come from in the past 6 years - mostly thru NKY!
  23. new news just in...Bo Schembechler died of a heart attack this morning...this is NOT a joke! Michigan will be even more motivated/inspired to win now! Prayers to Bo's friends and family!
  24. Hey Statman...ever consider throwing the MASSEY RATINGS into the mix as well? The Massey System was pretty accurate during the season on many of the teams I was watching... Just a thought maybe for next year... Great work - :thumb:
  25. I know this is a little "off-topic", but today's Lex Herald-Leader had this in it: Raceland grad Aaron Pettrey could play an important role in Saturday's college football showdown between No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Michigan. Pettrey, a freshman kicker for the Buckeyes, is 8-for-11 on field goals, and 47-for-50 on extra points. I am pulling for RACELAND and I am an OSU graduate - so I felt like this was OK to post on this thread... :ylsuper:
