Nice to see the offense score 70 without the starting QB. The JV defense needs to play better or people might get the wrong idea about how close this really was.

I was THRILLED to see Berea turn their football program around this year.

 

You are absolutely correct. Berea does have some good athletes. And, they had a good game plan against LCA. I simply didn't expect a #4 seed to put up 5 scores against the team that most people in the state think is ranked #1.

It was 21-0 early. Berea got a couple of nice plays....one off an interception. LCA then went up 56-13 at half. LCA played its JV defense pretty much the whole 2nd half. Hayden played 1 series the 2nd half. Berea played its starters the whole game. As a matter of fact they called a timeout with just a little over a minute to go in the game to set up a long pass...basically against LCA's freshmen.

 

Berea has a good QB.

I certainly hope we do finally get to meet in two weeks. I guess that means we both would have won!!
