Hensley Rating System For Regional Finals

Featured Replies

Ladies & gentlemen, it's that time of year again where I break out my Hensley Rating System.

You may be asking yourself...what is the Hensley Rating Sysytem? Well the answer to this question is VERY simple. It's the AVERAGE power rating for a school using the Lex. Herald-Leader's Cantral Ratings and the Lou. Courier-Journal's Litkenhous Ratings.

When I apply this to each game, I simple subtract the highest average power rating by the lowest of the two AND I give each HOME TEAM 6 points for home field advantage.

If you think about it, it's really simple.

Last year I did this for a couple a playoff games and it was right around 50-50 with the games. I even got maybe 5-6 exactly correct.

Now ladies & gentlemen, remember that this isn't exactly how I necessarily think that these games will go, but this is how my system thinks they will go.

So with that out of the way, here is how I think the games should go according to the Hensley Rating System:

Thanks.

It didn't take more than 30-45 minutes to do it.

Statman you obviously are a fan of h.s. football :thumb: :walk: ! Your ratings/predictions look pretty good. I just hope that your "computer" has had a malfunction on the Raceland/NCC prediction.:D Nice thread and post, :thumb: I enjoyed them.

Central/ Southwestern game under 5 points. Better hope the other team doesn't fumble!!!!!!!!!!

Statman did this last year and was pretty close on most of his ratings.

Good work Statman!!!!

Watusi, hadn't noticed your avatar before. Where did you get your Glamor Shot done??!!??

Hey Statman...ever consider throwing the MASSEY RATINGS into the mix as well? The Massey System was pretty accurate during the season on many of the teams I was watching...

Just a thought maybe for next year...

Great work - :thumb:

That is great grandpa Tootsweiger. :thumb:

He played on Belfry's first football team back in the 20's. His family came over from the old country when he was a kid. We eventually dropped the weiger from the family name.
