Raceland vs. Nicholas County

Raceland goes to Nicholas County this week to take on the Blue Jackets. The Rams are 6-1 and comming off what may had been their most complete game of the year so far, (combo of the run,pass,defense and special teams). Raceland should win this one but Nicholas is very capable of pulling an upset if the Rams do not go in there focused and take care of business. Ram Players - Fear no one but Respect everyone. What are some opinions on this game?

I am a "Blue Sky", "the glass is half-FULL", positive thinking kind of guy. I hope Nicholas Co. performs well this next game.

 

BUT, I think the Rams should handle the Bluejackets.

Raceland will have to go into Carlisle with their full attention on Nicholas County. They have a big rival game ahead the following week so I hope they do not look ahead. Nicholas Co. is very capable of pulling the upset and I believe the Rams coaching staff believes this also and will have them focused & prepared.

This could very well be a "trap" game for the Rams, coming off a big win vs. Bath Co. and a game next week with arch rival Fairview. Raceland players need to stay focused on THIS game and not look ahead. I am sure that the Raceland coaches will make sure that they are.

I haven't heard any practice reports this week, it is early in the week though. Does anyone have any reports as to how the practices are going for the Rams this week?

This is Fall break so I am not sure of practice times. I hope the kids stay focused. Tough task for the coaches with all the free time away from school. This is where leadership comes int play.

They are usually lasting until 2 or 3. They plan on continuing having these early practices and a team breakfast to get the boys ready to play like the team that played aganist Bath County.

I know Raceland and Russell JV played. Does anyone have any details on the game?

I wasn't there but the only thing that I heard was that Russell was winning big. Someone said that they had scored 3 times in a 2 or 3 minute span in the first half. I don't know but if the varsity is practicing at 11am this week some of those kids may had practiced with the varsity that morning, not sure though.
