  1. That was NOT here-say...it came from a very reliable un-biased source close to the program...I am not trying to promote anyone or damage Micah on this...just trying to understand the facts...
  2. I heard Micah J. took himself out of the game last night with 6 minutes left and no one knows why? Is this true? If it is true - then he does NOT get Mr. Football...IMO.
  3. NCC came prepared, focused and ready to execute their game-plan last night... ANd boy did they ever execute?!?!? That team did not make a mistake and Diehl's stock went up a bunch last night for any colleges looking for an intelligent, calm, cool, collected pure athlete! NCC had too many horses on the field (pun intended!)! From their very quick, big and athletic linemen to their DB's and WR's and RB's/QB...Very well-rounded and complete team. #10 can play Div-1 secondary in my opinion - he had some major hits and some awesome pass break-ups! I hope big #76 will be okay - praying for his fast recovery...he flat-backed my son (#40) about 5 times while blocking him! Good luck to NCC - I think we just got beat by the STATE CHAMPS again this year! Go Bred's! We now root for our REGION! And finally... CHOMP! That is my BIG bite of HUMBLE-PIE for this week!
  4. BWFan - You are correct on this! Good point.
  5. Bridge - That LCA team that played LexCath was missing three (3) 2-way starters - It would have been a closer game with them BUT LCA would have still lost the game - LexCath is at a higher caliber than LCA - plain & simple. But give Coach Rains some credit for beefing up the schedule this year - maybe it will pay off for them in the end.
  6. I dont necessarily agree with you here APNW... When you are at the Regional Championships, ALL the teams have SKILL & TALENT - the difference maker is PREPARATION & DESIRE. I have seen many teams with better AThletes get beat by an inferior, but well-coached and motivated team. Just my opinion - for what it is worth.
  7. I hope he ends up with #300 NEXT YEAR! But seriously, what a terrific career he has had...great job Coach Schneider.
  8. Your corection isnt exactly right... Although your statement of the % of remaining teams is correct. I was simply calculating the % of total of each category that remain - so I think what I was calculating is still correct - although it may not be meaningful. 7 out of the 48 private schools in KY remain = 14.5% What you are stating is 7 of the remaing 32 teams are private = 21.8% -
  9. Okay ...here's the simple math: 7 of 48 Privates - 14.5% remain in playoffs 25 of 234 Publics - 10.7% remain in playoffs Not a huge difference in overall %'es is it?
  10. How many TOTAL Publics and how many TOTAL Privates are in the state? Then what do the %'es look like that are remaining in the final 32 teams? Can anyone assist with this information?
  11. SF25 - well stated! At this point, ANY team could beat any other team! It is all about preparation by the coahces AND DESIRE of the players! HS Football could not be any better than right now! Look at some of the match-ups this week: LCA-NCC, Bardstown-Danville, FtCampbell-OCath, Paintsville-Somerset, LexCath-HHS, Rockcastle-BellCo, HenryClay-Dunbar, etc!!!
  12. I agree...Many games are played with the star RB on the bench in the 2nd half - due to the scoring margin... Hayden at LCA averages 10.7 YDS/Carry!!! Was in the TOP 3 in Class A and in the TOP 10 OVERALL Classes all year. This average includes two playoff games, which is certainly better competition as well. 1683 Yds on 158 carries, 29 TD's - Tyrell Hayden - remember this name.
  13. Bad data Jack! LCA beat Fairview 28-14 for the DIstrict title. LCA beat Paris 49-13.
  14. Got any stats to support this one? Didn't he get shut down in the NCC game last week?
  15. Tyrell Hayden of Lexington Christian Academy... Rushing: 158 carries - 1683 yards - 29 TD's Receiving: 15 catches - 253 yards - 2 TD's
  16. I thought we handled the TRADITION issue last week with Beechwood...Is THAT coming up again this week?! ) History is over - step aside and let the new sherriff dance with the lady!
  17. Yeah...well WE have to raise ALL of our funds for Athletics and we get ZERO TAX DOLLARS - while WE pay for the PUBLIC schools to put in Multi-million dollar facilities with OUR taxes... Seems a little unfair - and I WILL whine about it...I feel better now. Thanks for letting me vent - I appreciate it...
  18. The directions mean to say you end at 2500 Madison... The School is at 2500 Madison Ave.
  19. No problem...I was just kidding him - thus the "smiley face" It looks like a simple yet fairly reliable system...now if he could just get it to work on the LOTTERY - we'd ALL be happy!
  20. I would think you would have "learned" from your mistake last week on LCA! 29 point variation that you missed by! And here you go again this week...picking against them...
  21. Take I-75 North toward Cincinnati Merge onto I-275 E via exit 185 Take KY-17 Exit 80 toward Covington/Independence Merge onto KY-17 N toward Covington End at 2500 Madison Ave.
  22. My prediction is LCA over NCC 35-21... LCA's defense is under-rated and will hold off the NCC strike-force offense. I dont think NCC's defense can stop ALL the variations that LCA's offense can throw at them - especially the running game! Go EAGLES!
  23. Yes...we are hoping to build stadium seating on the HOME side within the next year or so...Unlike the Publics - we have to self generate the funds for these items...we dont get the tax advantages of the publics which makes me sick to hear all the "unfair advantage" whining by the public supporters...ridiculous! Our baseball team won the STATE championship and they dont yet have lights on the field!!!
