Explosive players that have come out of Lexington?
Chase Minnifield

What do the Lexington 6A schools need to do...
Lets be honost trinity and x are not rolling out ultra talented kids every year. How many division 1 players have they produced during the past two seasons? Henry Clay has had more pure talent than either the past two years, and will probably have more this upcoming year. The two l'ville schools are sound in every aspect of the game and that is why they win.

It Runs In The Family???
The minnifields have a nice father son combo.

Best Dunk of the 06-07 Season
Minnifields dunk over Shelvin Mack was nasty.
-
Mason Co.75 Henry Clay 65
If Minnifield doesn't get hurt in the 1st quarter, I think this game has a different outcome.

Henry Clay @ Lafayette on Friday
This will be Minnifields first game back since football season ended.

2007 5A Football
Granted Bryan Station will probably be moving up to 6A soon....but should they be over looked. Station has the potential to produce more talent than any other school in the state. That has been proven throughout the schools history. Probably not next year, but I would say that very soon they could run class 5A if they stay there long enough.

Trinity 56 Henry Clay 35
Minnifield had 312 yards all-purpose, to close out a great career at Henry Clay. I wish him the best!!!

Trinity vs Henry Clay. Who wins and Why?
bring em on...they'll all fit.

Trinity (11-1) at Male (11-0)
I may be wrong, but I know the last and maybe the only time it was ever pulled off was by Clark Co in 1991 with Marty Joice at the helm.
-
Henry Clay (11-1) at George Rogers Clark (8-4)
yea trinity did whip us last year...hc went to the semifinals for the first time in awhile and got overwhelmed in it all. This hc team has the experience from last year and completely different players. The oline, dline, qb, rb and lbs are all different ppl this year. If or when they play in the semi's again, i guarentee the outcome will be different. As for clark co...devils roll!

Henry Clay Blue Devil Documentary (Check it out)

10/16/06 Herald-Leader Rating The State
yea I know Henry Clay gives up some points, but they score alot also. There also 9-0 against some pretty stiff competition. There the only undefeated team in the top 10, how are they not higher than #6? There is no possible way that Highlands and Covington Catholic are better football teams. I guess they get bonus points for being smaller schools and having more recent championships.

Who will get to #17 first???
Very good observation...the 1999 Henry Clay team was stacked until injuries hit. Shane Boyd(Kentucky) missed a few games and played hurt in the playoffs. Zia Combs(Michigan) tore his knee up in the last regular season game and missed the playoffs. There were other players that also played hurt, but it is football and sometimes you have to play hurt. Losing Zia would hurt any team tremendously.

Nicest/largest stadiums and facilities
My top 3...Places ive played at. 1. Belfry...Playing down below the school and the sea of red...I think the atmosphere takes it over the top. 2. Trinity...The nicest facilities and the largest fan base make it a unforgettable experience for any player. 3. Henry Clay for obvious reasons.

Lafayette @ Henry Clay
they WILL beat Lafayette...if you remember last year when Henry Clay was also 9-0 and held Lafayette to -5 yrds rushing in the first half and then totally collapsed and eventually lost the game. Sam Simpson will have his boys ready and they will not have another let down.

11th Region 2006
^ Tates Creek has alot more coming back than Lafayette and Dunbar. They have their entire pitching staff returning. Lafayette and Dunbar wish they could say that.

Ryle--had 30 pitchers tryout?? Need CLASSES!!!
Its because in baseball 1 or 2 good pitchers can take you a long way. Its not and never has been about numbers that come out. Its about what those players do and how good they are. Henry Clay will have 70 some kids try out, but we will keep around 30 to make up two teams.

Most number of D-1A recruits from a single team
He did.

Weight lifting during season
I strongly disagree. Whats the point of lifting in the off season then. You will just lose everything you worked so hard to get if you stop lifting. Anyone who has ever stayed on a consistant lifting reutine will tell you that after a while the soreness does not come as often or as bad. Maintnance lifting should be done, not max lifting, but lift to maintane your current strength.
