I would like to know if anyone can recall a family in Kentucky that has several generations who have been outstanding in Football?

If decades will work then how about the Brohms(sp).

Rodger, Calvin, and Steve Bird all played for Corbin and went on to play professional football. Calvin and Rodger were High School all Americans and Rodger and Stever were college All Americans. There also was another Bird family member who played for Adolph Rupp and then played for the New York Knickerbockers. I've heard many people say that Calvin in high school may have been the best player ever in Kentucky and one of the best ever in general when it comes to high school football.

The Newells in Somerset have had a great legacy that has been passed down throught the whole family. Some of those players are; Archie Newell, Chris Newell, Brandon Newell, Scotty Newell(All three of these players have some sort of record that they hold at Somerset High School)

The Caples are a very good football family in Ludlow. I believe that there are 6 in Ludlow's hall of fame now and there are 3 younger ones in youth who are all really good. Scott Miller one of Ludlow's wide recievers last year was related to the Caples. Talk about good blood.

If you want to count brothers...then defiantly the Guidugli's...4 or 5 state championships and a couple all-state players

In Bell CO the Collett and Brock are names with many brothers, cousins, and uncles who play or have played. I understand that the list of names may change but the little cousins who are on the way to County is very long. Look forward to the days to come. Collett's were Brothers Vernon, Rod, Dennis, Scott, Sons, Mark, Jeremy. I know I have left out someone Help please

 

 

Middlesboro, has several that I can remember.. Adams, Started with the first James Adams, Was to have gone to Center Collage. Second James Adams , University of Louisville, Third James Adams aka Vic Adams was a UK Wildcat.. Two sons of Vic are Tyler Adams who played for the Jackets.. And Hunter Adams who plays now..

 

Russell.. Two Shawn's.. Father and Son. Both good players for the Jackets.
