I guess Owsley County should cancel their season with the Power houses of Lee, Estill, and Powell in their district.:madman:

Lee County will be a top team in the region. However I still think it is Hazards to lose.

Clay County by a Field Goal

With the help of Mika Turner (a top player in the region) she will not have to carry the load. Owsley County will suprise teams this season.

Owsley County will miss both Corina and Kendra, however they are returning a nucleus of players who have been together since elementary school. Mika Turner should be a top player in the region as well as Freshman Peyton Wright who was hitting her stride towards the end of last season. Owsley County has a solid nucleus of players and should contend with Powell County for the the 56th district.

Campbell was an important team member last season. However with the talent level that Hazard has he will be replaced easily.

Randy Napier has won over 600 games, numerous regional titles and one state championship at MC Napier.

Replace Feltner and 14th region player of the year Heather Sturdivant.

The similarities of Sandy Hook and Booneville are many.

Barnett is a great player, has she recovered from her torn ACL?

Coach Hall was the Coach at Breathitt County a few years ago. He had success there winning 20+ games one season, winning the district, before being defeated by Perry Central in the Regional Tourney. Coach Hall is a class act, glad to see him back in the region and in the 56th district. Good Luck Coach.

Lee County should be the favorite in 56th district. Charles is one of the top 10 players in the region and Pelphrey is a force down low. If they have added some kids to go with the talent they already had, they should be one of the top 5 teams in the region. Lee County in the past 4 years has had some of the best teams in the region, yet they only have one district championship and an All A championship to show for it. It seems people are always talking about how could that they can be. Lee County needs to prove that they are a legit contender this season.
