By the way one of the greatest warmup dunks I ever saw was Joe Harney off the American Flag at the top of the HC wall, reverse slam.

Thats my point But Henderson bring alot , wit how high he gets and how hard it goes down. Not many HS kids have routine dunks during games. But if you watch the kid in warm ups you won't ask this question again.

Oh nevermind, I thought they did annoucne PBP , when they announced Ken Shields.

Those are the favorites I guess. But Newport beat NCC early, and is playing its best ball right now.

Dunno if I'd count Newport and HC out just yet.

Have not seen the Dunbar kid, but Arez Henderson is the best dunker in the 9th since the early to mid 90's.

GT they going to contract you out and bring you in? Weber side kicks are terrible.

NO school steps up. CCH should be applauded for taking care of it each year. Its not like their is a huge crowd advantage.

I've said this one thing since the Rice debacle. This whole situation could make DJ's legacy. If he rises out of the situation a true leader and rallies his troops. DJ,Hill, and Henderson are still to talented for any 9th team to control when there playing well. If I had to pick tonight the Bluebirds would probably win. But I have a feeling its going to be someone outside of the so called Big 3 this year.

I agree if HC was ever going to win the freshman tournament this was the year.

There are around 7 teams with a legit shot to win region right now.

Bottom line NCC has a big man who can score. Not many teams have a big man in our region to the caliber of Kiernan. Without Rice they have no answer for him.

HC lead by Steeken's 18pts

I have no problem with 9th region officals as a whole. Anyone from the 9th who complains should go watch a 10th region game. But I do have a problem with one ref particular in the 9th. Who I won't name. But he was one of the refs in the HC vs SK game. Since my playing days at HC and thru the present. He does alot of HC games, and seems to blow his whistle way to much wether it before HC or the oppenent in crucial moments of the game.

On HC's website they don't list it on their schedule. The last regular season game is Feb.21st.

I guess I learned something new. I thought for sure most HS schools kept facilities open year round.

I don't think that is correct. Otherwise most schools would be in violation. As long as school coaching staffs are not invovled I think an athlete is allowed if he wants to show up and lift weights or shoot a basketball on his own recourse.

I think he is saying the coach is on the hot seat.

Just to settle this between you two. Alex is a great talent. But I would be shocked if he got much PT on varsity. He is very raw still. Has a very strong arm, and can play alot of postions. He came to HC mostly because every kid he grew up with and played baseball and basketball with attends HC. I coached Alex in basketball growing up and was his big buddy at St.Augustine when he was in 1st grade. I'm not putting him down, but right now at HC I would be shocked if he did anything more than start JV.

Brossart would be the best bet, just given the comparison between overall athletic programs.

Combination of Stewart/Housley/Redick for HC is a very dangerous one for HC.

Mains and Elliot from PC should get invites. Penick and Voriees might be considered for invites.

Friday at HC decides the Div.II crown when the bluebirds come to town.

HC is a better team right now since the All A. Coach Goetz is using sophmore Corey Sorrel more, and he is now strictly varsity. He gives them points off the bench they didn't have before, Corey is a very good shooter. With him and Ryan on the floor at the same time its hard to cover HC on the perimeter with so many good shooters.

One thing alot of teams learn after playing HC. The front court at HC is very physical and strong. It isn't the tallest, but they have found ways around that.
