  1. Listening on the radio it seemed HC could have put away a little earlier with some better FT shooting.
  2. 3pt game HC ball, minute left
  3. HC is up 5 with about a minute left. IF HC could hit free throws game would be locked.
  4. Only problem I have with your list is, now that the season has gone along Jimmy Ryan isn't HC's best player. It's probably Steeken or Busse.
  5. 1.Duran Jefferson 2. Jeff Vories 3. Todd Jacobs 4. Greg Rice 5. Arrez Henderson 6. Michael Romes 7. Austin Hill 8. Tim Tierney 9. Dan Penick 10. Nick Steeken
  6. If I were at HC i'd take my chances on the rest of Beechwood beating me and try and just Romes out.
  7. HC did a pretty good job of take TJ out of the game. If they can come remotley close to doing the same with Romes, Beechwood doesn't have a second player like CCH has in Timmy T.
  8. Jefferson could probably run PG on the GLVC right now.
  9. Bottom line is 2-8 probably anyone can be beaten by anyone on any given night. In my mind the only way Holmes loses in region is if they hurt themselves some how.
  10. Can't internship, I won't make any ALL A games this week or any HS games for that matter. I intern, work, and have a full class load. But if HC makes state tourney I will find a way to be there.
  11. Holmes can be. But no to the latter. When TJ is hot, they are hard to beat. But I think both CCH and HHS have to play good games to beat a Dixie, HC, or Beechwood. They can't just show up on those schools and expect to win, like some dominate teams CCH and HHS have had in the past.
  12. This years Holmes team would beat any of the contenders in the 9th , 9 times out of 10. But all it takes is that one night. Scary thing is every top contender teams loses pieces next year. Holmes returns every starter.
  13. Rice isn't a pro-typical post man, and I think because of the outlook of htis team he has been forced into the center positon. (If he had stayed at HC, he would of got the oppurtunity to player more permeiter ). But even after saying that if I needed a basket by a big man in this region with their back to the basket there is no other player i'm going to besides Greg Rice.
  14. Trust me CCH isn't the only school that has trouble boxing him out. Trinity, Shelby,Scott County, and Henderson all do to. He is strong, fast, and leaps. He gets off the ground so quick, its hard to box him out.
  15. Its hard for me to rank they each have their role. Hill is more of the Scottie Pippen role some what. He is the overall player you are right. Henderson is the best athlete. During this season when Jefferson and Rice have been in foul trouble, he is the guy who dribbled it up and did all the scoring. Austin Hill is more of a role scorer, but gets alot of points that way. He isn't the greatest at creating his own shot, but has the strenght to do so sometimes. Rice and Henderson are the two most dangerous offensive weapons on this team in my mind. I think right now Henderson is their best player. Holmes would be scary good if Henderson could shoot the 3 consistently.
  16. Honestly now that you have seen Henderson who is the last player the 9th has had with his leaping ability. Its been a long time.
  17. I know one thing if Holmes needs a basket they usually give the ball to Greg Rice about 12 feet out, I don't know to many teams that do that with their 4th best player.
  18. Hill has had lower back issues all season. He has left every game I"ve attended at some point, to stretch his back out on the sidelines.
  19. NO way you pick against HC. This is shocking news.
  20. Austin Hill will play football from what I understand as of now. But that could change. Duran Jefferson and Henderson if he gets a deeper shot will both be playing at either mid major DI or good D2 programs.
  21. HC and Beechwood will meet tomorrow. Thats my pick.
  22. :thumb: Best point yet. Some could argue Greg Rice was the best player on the floor in that first round game down in Rupp. He did it on this states biggest stage. Since most people in the region think or thought Greg Rice is the best player 9th has to offer, don't you think this had something to do with Listerman not letting Rice beat them ?
  23. Poked or elbowed in the eye. When he reentered he was basically playing with only full vision in one eye from what I understand.
  24. Problem with Edmonson I think is confidence. When everyone is there he knows he is the 5th option. The one game he was the man he drops 30+.
  25. I agree. But how many times have you watched Jefferson play this year? In the 5/3 classic alot of Rice's shots were come a couple feet in from the 3pt line, around 15 feet. People were criticizing him then for taking the deep shots. Hill is probably the best all around, and is very underrated when it comes to his outside shot.
