Just wondering what everyone thought about this game that will be played on Friday night. Should be a very good game.

No this game is a semifinal game in the Class A tourney being held at Newport. Personally I've seen Beechwood on about 4 ocassions and HC twice and I'm not sure HC has any answer for Romes. Kid can really play. Game should be very interesting but I think Beechwood can take HC by about 8 points.

As far as being soft outside of Romes I would strongly disagree. Miracle plays tough in the middle, Chaz Moore can shoot it from outside, Sawyer can break a press and number 10 (Edmonstin I think) is a very nice player and along with a couple others off their bench I think they more then matchup with HC.

My mistake the regular season game is at Beechwood? Feb something maybe the 8th. BTW soft may have been a poor choice of words. I'm sure it's hard to have any other semi standout players with a player like Michael Romes, but as far as solid players... they have a few. But nothing really special.

That sometimes used to cause a problem (Holy Cross/NCC and St. Henry/Brossart semi at NKU one year they had to ask people to leave if they weren't going to stay for the entire second game) but it won't be a problem tonight. I'd estimate the NCC/Bellevue crowd will not be all that large starting at 6.

Is Busse playing for sure? I am not sure HC can win this game without him.

If he plays, and is effective, I think HC will have enough. If he can't play, or is limited, Beechwood may be able to secure a big "All A" victory.

If Beechwood and NCC win tonight and meet in the final..............Has Beechwood ever beaten NCC in basketball??? How strange would it be that Beechwood would be the favorite having all their players since the start of the season and NCC would be the underdog trying to get the football players up to speed?

 

If you are NCC, you are hoping Beechwood and Holy Cross go triple OT.
