CCH @ Holy Cross 1st Round of the 35th
Lets end this discussion. Lets just put it like this. CCH has such an abundance of talent every year its hard for the coaches to always know who is going to develop into the best player or they may miss a talented player due to some different circumstances. Its a nice problem to have though. Now back to the game.

Holmes 68 Beechwood 57
I heard the same. One of my brothers was at the game tonight and said Holmes big men look 10 times better than they did just a couple weeks ago.

CCH @ Holy Cross 1st Round of the 35th
Last year there were a few posters who questioned if Romes would of played at CCH. But I would say almost every doubter has changed their mind. (I was one of the doubters last year.)

CCH @ Holy Cross 1st Round of the 35th
Dunno but defensively I think Sorrel is one of HC's best on ball defenders. He deceptively quick. He has a nice vertical leap, and a middle game that most HS schoolers don't posses. If this kid grows he can be scary good. With all that said , you trying to get in the game tomorrow?

CCH @ Holy Cross 1st Round of the 35th
LOL come on, don't take one extreme HC poster and think that most HC people don't know that CCH is the favorite.

KY Post NKY All-Stars
I love Jimmy's game. But I think Steeken and Busse should both get more votes.

CCH @ Holy Cross 1st Round of the 35th
Sorrel is at 48% at the Varsity level.

CCH @ Holy Cross 1st Round of the 35th
Wow settle down man your a little over board. Maile is good. But I do disagree with the claim that CCH has better guards in the soph class. I watched CCh freshman play a few times last year and Sorell was their best player. By the way Corey right now is 2nd in the region in 3pt %.

CCH @ Holy Cross 1st Round of the 35th
Your nuts if you say 3 kids in CCH soph class are better since Corey was their best freshman last year. But I will agree Henderson is better. But I think Corey is better than Simpson all around right now.

Future sites for the 10th region Tournament
Its probably because this isn't the same 10th region anymore. The 10th has a fair share of NKY schools in it now, and they shouldn't have to make that drive every year.

35th District Tourney and 9th Region Tourney
HC has to play to any advantage it can. Its already at a strong dis advantage every year on the school enrollment size with CCH and Holmes.

CCH @ Holy Cross 1st Round of the 35th
The same can be said about HC since the last time they played CCH. The bench for HC is 10 times stronger than the last CCH game. Jimmy Ryan has found his shot, as have about every other guard on this squad. Its going to be a good game, I don't understand all the blow out predicitons. I also agree with the post above. After HC moved districts in 95 when they were the run away favorite for the 9th region and got upsetted by CCH, I doubt HC ever moves districts again.

Highest scoring brother combinations in high school history???
Holy Cross Houston Brothers. Todd had a career- 2,272 Troy- 2,055 Combined total - 4,327 career points. They are #1 and #5 on the HC alltime scoring list.

CCH @ Holy Cross 1st Round of the 35th
CCH is the favorite. I just can't pick against HC right now. The key to the game is HC's shooting. I don't think any team in the region can beat HC when they are shooting the ball as they have over the last 3 weeks. HC 64 CCH 62

Boone 60 Highlands 57
I'm going to guess HHS faithful are going to say they blew this and BC didn't win. I said it this whole week Highlands is good, but after watching the play twice now, I don't think they are in a group ahead of anyone. They basically have one standout win all year, that is CCH early in the season.

NKY Coach of the Year
1. Pendetlon and HC lost alot from last year, for both teams to have the records they do speak volumes. 2. Holmes was suppose to win this year, they had the most talent. If Holmes till wins region with the loss of Greg Rice then I agree with you. 3. Newport in most pre-season polls was predicted higher than HC, and most thought was the most talented team outside of Holmes and CCH. So I don't k now how this coach even gets mentioned. 4. I'll agree with Hicks I think year in and year out he is in the elite group of coaches in the 9th and I do think they are starting to gel.

NKY Coach of the Year
I was thinking 9th region, but if Pendelton is in the mix. Buddy wins hands down.
-
NKY Coach of the Year
Why without question. HHS is 20-5, HC is 20-6. HHS has everyone back, HC lost their core team outside of Steeken. Plus Goetz beat Schlarman heads up. Without question is a little bold.

Best Defender in NKY?
They switch more than picks, they switch when a player leaves an area. Which is a zone with man to man principles.
-
NKY Coach of the Year
Eric Goetz. 4 starters lost from last year. Argubably one of the top teams in NKY.
-
Best Defender in NKY?
Serisously they must teach man to man different in Ft.Thomas. Everyone time I see Willie Ball his basic defense is a zone defense with some man to man principles. But it is not a true man to man defense. Its not a bad thing, Willie wins. I'm not discrediting that. But lets call it as it is.
-
Best Defender in NKY?
Highlands played a zone the entire 3rd quarter, that forced HC to score inside which is HC's weakness. Highlands played zone with some man principles. But they definently played zone most the game after the 1st quarter.
-
Best Defender in NKY?
I never said that, Highlands is a good defensive team. But they don't have 3 indivduals who I would stack up as the best defenders in the region. You can be a great defensive team without great indivdual defenders and outside of BEN G this is the case for Highlands.
-
Best Defender in NKY?
I just have a hard time give the nod to 3 guys off one team for top 10 defenders in the region. When both times I've seen them play they have been forced to play zone because of lack of quickness to guard in man to man.
