I thought they played each other on Tuesday. I think the game today was between NCC and Bellevue with the winner playing HHS for the championship.

Actually this shouldn’t be much of a difference for the NKY 3A district. In the past, the 4 teams from this district has swept the 1st round games and then had to play teams within their district in the 2nd and 3rd round. The only difference is that they play them in the 1st and 2nd now. It will make for more interesting games. It seems lately that the first round games at HHS, the crowd is mostly family and friends and it usually clears out by the beginning of the 4th quarter, sometimes at half. I’m all for better competition!

Justin Frisk against Leslie County 1995 3A semi-finals. Justin ran all over them that night. I don't think HHS threw more than a couple of passes that night. Truly one of the best performances I have ever seen. HHS lost starting QB to a broken arm the prior week against Holmes. Justin carried that team that night.

Wasn't Tanner Johnson on that team also? Anybody know if he is playing at the next level?

The band practices on the field in the fall along with some of the Jr. football league teams, if time permits.

Beechwood No. 1 I found it interesting that all of the schools listed have at least 12 games except Highlands which has only played 8. Seems like every year they play fewer games than other NKY high schools.

When does HHS scrimmage Campbell Co.?

I heard that the nominations will be made sometime the last 2 weeks of March and that the game is June 8 but not sure where.

Not sure about CCH, but I totaly agree about Holmes. They are not the same team without Rice and will have trouble with Dixie.

Did Wise play tonight?? Seems to me that DMZ76 had something here when he posted on another thread that Willie needs to get him some playing time. Possibly could help with Tanner out tonight to get another big body in there for rebounding. Regional tourny should be very interesting this year!!

Looking at HHS schedule, I hope they have more games scheduled than what is showing on the KHSAA website. 12 just doesn't seem like enough. Not much of a fight between Ben and Rice. The bigger fight was between Edmonson and I think #31 on the bench. Nice team chemistry

Brian Weinrich @ HHS. Led Birds to a 2-0 record to start the season. Well liked and respected. Not sure if he'll wait out Dale's run at HHS though.

But doesn't the kid miss out on the rest of his senior activities like Prom, spring break, etc.? I'm sure there are pros and cons but you never get that senior year back and IMO you just miss out on a lot of school things.
