Agreed. Cory is a stand out player and a 3 sport player. He led his rebels far into the playoffs with rushing over 200 yds twice i believe. Starts in Basketball as a Sophmore started Baseball as a freshman. He's a stand out. Im sure Jefferson and TJ can play the other sports, but they dont. And Cory does and excells in all them.

Were there any seniors who you expected to sign or thought had the ability to play at the next level but did not sign or are not playing college ball?? For Northern Ky. i was suprised that Canafax (NCC WR) didnt sign (where will he play?) and was also a lil suprised the Roch (CCH PK) didnt sign. Does anybody know if these two are gettin any looks? From their ability i would have thought they would see some action. Does anybody know who Sean Mcgee is talking with? He too was a good player for the colonels. Great hitter

Who is going to have the break out performance that could take there team far, that shouldnt be there?

Correct me if i am wrong but i heard Detkas from Highlands is going to the University of Tampa to play ball. So is he that good, I know nothing about Tampa but im sure they are D-1. So is Detkas considered the top player. IMO i do not think so but is he?

What district is Ludlow in now. Because i do believe that they swapped with Beechwood in the 33rd District. And will the competition leave with them with any better of chances going to the tournament more.

How can you leave out Todd Jacobs from Cov Cath. He is averaging just over 18 points per game and has great court vision and one of the top passers in the region. Can't over look Todd

Holmes beat CCH by 3, and Highlands beat them by 1 on a last second shot. So how come CCH is getting no credit. They always play Holmes close i think it will go down between CCH and Holmes before Highlands and Holmes.

Dustin is good i know he was a part of the Ky. Royals during the summer. Anyone know why he did or where he ended up playing summer ball for?

I know that he is only a Sophmore but how come NO one is talking abotu Corey Farris. He has a good arm and a great bat probably led BC in average and i believe hit 4 or so homeruns for them. Ill give Brann the best right now but dont be suprised if Corey is better than him at the end of the year.

I give a Big hand to Danny Noll. The kid doesnt start, when he gets time its only because he works his butt off, and he saves the colonels in the 2nd half. Yea TJ kept them alive in the first but wow wut a game for danny,... wish it could have ended differantly but i thought that danny played extremely well. If im not mistaken thats his first career double double, so danny keep it up,... you have showed everyone what you got, not you gotta live up to that. I honestly dont see how after tonight he wont have a starting position. With Schult not playin as well lately as he used to, and young getting into some foul trouble, Noll has been playing tremendous. Still waitin on that triple out ya danny.

Well at the end of the game the awards went out to Danny Noll and Arnez(spelling) Henderson. But in my eyes with out Todd in the first half CCH wasnt even in the game the second. Also Greg Rice might be one of the best players i have seen play he can do it on all parts of the floor. He needs to get recognized more.

That is true.. i know of many kids taht were a big part of either there 8th grade team or even there freshman or JV team who just dont feel like practicing which makes the Intramural Basketball Leauge or IBL at CCH very competitive.

Actually Ryle Lost 2 of 3 to Cov Cath and only won one and if there was a suprise team i would have to go with St. Henry or Boone. St. Henry is returning a lot of talent and so is Boone they could contend. Maybe you could even throw Conner in there too. We will just have to wait and see!!

Not many people. If i was Holy Cross i would get all my student there at the start of JV so that the powerful student section of the Colonels doesnt come in full force.

Henry Clay, PRP, Lex Cath, and St. X is getting a new feild and i really dont expect anything from that school besides the best.

Cov Cath is a great place to play....but what would make it better is playing under the lights on friday instead of on Saturday. Great place but Friday nights would make it the best!

I was wondering almost midway through the season who is the best big man in NKY. I know going into the season hands down it was Dan Penick. I havent heard much abou him this year. Is he just behind the scenes because he is doing what people expected or have other people jumped ahead of him?

Another exciting year, maybe. But are any of the teams going to bring home a state title or is Lousville still going to dominate like they do always do?

I agree with you Henry, but when people start talking about how this kid could throw down with anyone and this kid isnt affraid to fight anyone dont you think that they are the ones giving Ben a bad rep? I am a Cov Cath fan and i can tell you that im not a big fan of his, but the kid is one heck of an athlete, it is obvious he cares about his sports and training for those sports, so why ruin what he has worked so hard for by saying that he could "throw down" with the best of them?? Maybe he can do that but why bring it up if you dont want the kids reputation talked about. About the cheering sections,... both were outstanding i thought,... Some very good cheers, some less classy than others, but again its all in fun. I thought it was a great game could have gone either way. I am NOT going to say that the better team one b/c to be honest with u i dont know if there was a "better" team playing tonight. Both teams played great, coulda gone either way,... went in favor of highlands. Hope these 2 match up again in the post season for another exciting one. Good luck boys. :thumb:

There is nothing to be proud of to have a terrible attitude and being labeled as a fighter and a punk to all schools and fans in highschool.

CCH will have a great defense. But i dont believe you will be seeing a Sutton on that side of the ball. Look for him to have a huge season. He has probably put on like 30 pounds since last season if he keeps his speed he has the hands and the jumping ability to go D1 as a WR or maybe even a TE. Also on Offensive how could you leave out 3 year starter and one the top WR in NKY Kurt Bovard. He had i believe 50 + receptions 700+ yards and 9 TDs....hes a stud.. and with a pocket passer there this year in Josh Bleser those numbers could even be higher... look for these 3 to have great seasons...if the get to solid athletic T's that is

Vories is a stud......and was probably the best player on the court tonight.....but how come no one is talking abotu Todd...he had 1 more point than Vories....shot better from behind the ark and also pulled down 9 boards and atleast 4 assist....now thats a stud.....and TOGA night was classic with the Colonels losing the students still showed support till the end and still shows that they are the best student section around

Cov Cath will not be a state contender until they show an inside presence. Schult can get boards, but wont create his own shots, Young gets his own shots but isnt aggressive on the boards, and Noll does a little bit of both but still nota PRESENCE. While i think Danny has been doing great coming of of the bench fresh and stepping it up lately i still believe young needs to stay out of foul trouble and start playing a more aggressive game. That said,... Cov Cath has been struggling offensively and Highlands aggressive D could show to be tough,.... im expecting something much like last year CCH- 54 Birds-43
