Champs05

On any given day anyone can win. That is what is great about baseball. So thats why everyone should be given the shot at an overall title.

Why should there be classing in baseball? Not one class dominates. Besides the past two years a 1a school has been to the championship. All classing does is make 2 state champs.....why wouldn't you want to know and be the best team in KY?

I was wondering for those of you who saw the covcath 7-7 and the highlands 7-7 what some of your comparisons are of the 2 teams and who you think played with trinity better. I know this has nothing at all to do with who will win in the season between covcath and highlands i was just wondering.

From NKY is Chris Curley and Andrew Blazejewske

What players are ont he NKY Warriors?

Campell County - Travis Hurd and Luke Bray are two great pitchers.

I really dont think that many HS even use much of a reliever. Even if someone came into relieve an important game i would bet that it would be another starting Pitcher.

Andrew Blazejewski (Cov Cath)- RF batted .474 13 2Bs 35 runs 42 RBI's 4 3B and 3 HR's Just to add Andrew now holds the career batting average title at Cov Cath by 10 points. Also is prolly the best player in the state not playing college ball.

Diamond, Sukow also graduated this year he won't be coming back.

The Colonels and the Royals play tonight at Lincoln Lee for a tournament. Predictions?

Yes i know it is your opinion but the Colonels should get a healthy Isler back to the pitching rotation also Houlehan who had a 6-0 record. Plus a stacked JV team who went 21-2

How do you have CCH not at 2. They return Bleser, Popham, Larkin, Stein, Reis, Maile, and Isler. And with Bleser not pitching this year and them doing as well as they did i believe is a miracle.

The Ky Royals had a double header in Ohio and travel to Indy tomorrow.

I really think that the winner of the Harrison vs. Beechwood series will make a very strong run at state. Beechwood the winner already of the All-A. Harrison with just there past and great coaching.

I talked to Tony after the All-Star practice yesterday about walking on. He said that he felt great at practice kicking (he was averaging about 70 yards on his kickoffs,... i didnt even see that during the season). He told me that he felt he would regret it if he did not at least try to walk on at UK so he said he is planning on walking on. Great kid with a good leg,... good luck Tony

East was missing some people but i was suprised to see Lincoln Adams still show up. Most of the kids playin other sports didnt even care to show but he was there watchin the team. I talked to him and he told me he wished he could be out there practicing but his track coach said he couldnt participate in the state meet if he practiced. Thats some heart. Also for CovCath Brett Sutton and Joe Smith dropped out of the game and were replaced with PK/P Tony Roch. The team seemed pretty Athletic today and I believe they will be very hard to beat. Ill Take east 42-14 lead by linebackers Mcgee, Guiduli, and Saurback (sry if any spellin is off)

Harrison had 4 errors and still held them to 3 runs!?!

In no way shape or form was i trying to say Tony isnt a smart kid,... what i was trying to get to is that he doesnt have to money to get there but with better grades he may have been given more financial aid from the university,... i too know Tony very well, and think he will do great at UK whether he plays or not,... By the way cshs where did u hear he was planning on walking on?

I believe Tony is ready for the next level the only question is will he have what it takes to kick in the SEC? UK has already signed a kicker who will be a freshman so does Tony have a chance? Despite that he had a pretty good year for just starting his senior year. If Popham works his butt off, I believe he will be able to kick at the next level,... my guess would be Dayton. They recruited Roch but he doesnt have the grades that Popham does. Pophams older brother went to UD and i believe that Shanes grades and leg will be able to get his on the team. Michael Awadalla had quit the football team. I talked to him and he told me they brought in another kid on scholarship and he didnt think he would be seeing any time. Good experience, great kid, even better future.

What i don't get is why does Elliot take up two spots on the team. As a pitcher and an outfeilder. He might be good at both but why cant they do one or the other and give someone else the spot.

No. St. Henry is on a roll beating Beechwood and CovCath in the past week.

Was this the 1st or 2nd game of Districts?

Where is the Championship game at and when??

I don't see how you could go with any two players but Chris Curley and Chas Moore from Beechwood.
