Northern Kentucky Coaches All-Star Teams

Northern Kentucky COaches ALL-Star Teams

Of the eight teams currently playing for the right to represent the Ninth Region only:

Beechwood 5 players A all stars

NewCath 2 players A all stars

CovCath 2 players AA all stars

Ryle 1 player AA all stars

St. Henry, HHS, Villa, and Lloyd 0 players

Not really surprised with the Lloyd, Villa or HHS teams, but not one single kid from St. Henry made the team? Really surprising. Understand, I have no problem with anyone on the list, but St. Henry is a team that I personally wouldn't want to face in the first round of the Region...... If I were Beechwood, or NewCath I would be praying that I wouldn't have to play St. Henry in that first round game......

Who is the third NewCath All Star?

Sorry, Sam Diehl made the list twice DH and Pitcher. I was just looking at the schools and read where NCC had three. My mistake.....

Welcome CruFan4233 and your first post on BGP's..... Hope to read many more from you.....

nobody from Newport made it

how come there was no honorable mention this year?

I personally would have like to see the positions be spread around to a few more teams. It seems much more like a Beechwood and sons all star game then a Northern Kentucky All Star game. You dont have the Northern Kentucky Strikeout leader there, who I might add also has an ERA of 2.10 or so, and who hits in the mid to upper 300 hundreds.

Your northern kentucky class A all star game only encompassed 4 schools in class A in northern kentucky. Did they honestly look at the players, or did they look into schools who dominated and choose from only those.

I can personally name quite a few players who could have easily deserved some kind of mention that were not, in addition no player from that school was even selected.

Please mention those players in which you speak VMABaseball

Who is the kid from SHDHS and what position?

VMA - I'm going to disagree with you on this one. IMO its the best players at each position regardless of school. Now if you feel a VMA player should have made it instead of another kid, I understand and would ask who you think the player is and who should be out.

BTW, congrats to Ferris for POY.

I wasnt necessarily saying a VMA player. Just that I would like to see more diveristy in the list. I feel Shanks could be an adequate fit in a pitcher spot for St. Henry... how about Driffmeyer for Lloyd. Just seems that they stuck with the typical BW people etc. Dont get me wrong Curley and Moore are studs. But are all five BW players really Northern Kentucky All Stars? Or do they benefit greatly from being on the team. I guess my real point is that if someone like Driffmeyer at Lloyd, Shanks from St Henry, and a few others were to play at BW, BB, NCC, or HC, and put up identical numbers to those that they have right now if this list would be the same.

Who is the kid from SHDHS and what position?

I think Ben Kuebbing Craig Shanks and Jeff Grieme Maybe even Nick Ryan are very deserving from St. Hanks
