Who are the best 1-2 combo starting pitchers in Northern Kentucky?

I don't see how you could go with any two players but Chris Curley and Chas Moore from Beechwood.

Jimmy Ryan and Ryan Busse from Holy Cross, Have a combined record of like 15-2.

I agree I think Curley and Ryan are very close but Busse is better than Moore.

Well lets think about who we have...

 

Covcath- Stevens, Houlehan

Beechwood- Curley, Moore

Holy Cross- Ryan, Busse

Ryle- Wagner, Humphrey ??

Brossart- Mutsch, Simon

Scott- Swanson, Bush

 

IMO you can't really decide but I think it'd be between Beechwood and Holy Cross with Beechwood getting the nod simply because of Curley being the better #1 and Moore being about even w/ Busse.

Actually, Wagner and Humphrey have not pitched this year, Wags 2 inning close and Hump a total of 7 innings over 3 games. Hughes Hatfield is probably the 1-2 combo with Collins and Divita getting just about as many starts and Wies closing.

Hc has a very deep pitching staff this year, alot deeper than it has been in along time. The best part is outside of Busse everyone is no older than a Junior.

Also lose a solid pitcher in Ricky Broering...

Holy Cross only loses laible,Busse,Suckow, and Broering. They will be very tough next year.

Cross is a Junior

IMO, Cook and Elliott from SK are a very underrated 1-2 combo in NKY

 

forgot all about them. Cook and Elliot are both solid pitchers...definetly should be included in the top nky 1-2 punch.

 

But with Holy Cross only losing four seniors this year, I look for them to make some noise next year. What does B'wood return next year? Covcath reloads every year so you know they'll be in the thick of things.
