colfan80 Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 You can throw out the records in this rivalry game. Should be a packed house. Thoughts?
Tiger1 Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 CovCath by 15 points. All Dixie has is Lawson & Keener.
Jump Shot Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Dixie has played a brutal schedule and played some top teams extremly close, sooner or later they are going to get the upset. I think it is friday, Red Colonels by 4.
RoundBaller Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 CovCath by 15 points. All Dixie has is Lawson & Keener. Lawson is just now hitting his stride, hampered by a broken finger to start the season. Keener has had a few good games, but by no means is he the only other Red Colonel contributing. Muzzillo is solid, Groneman can play, Cole is overdue to get hot again, and a host of underclassmen put in their minutes. I'm not saying that Dixie is a favorite by any means, but the picture you paint about a blowout because Dixie has no depth is simply out of focus. I predict a repeat of last year's JV matchup: CCH wins by 1 in OT.
h.s.sportsrbest Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Is this rivalry as big as the football? No.
h.s.sportsrbest Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I would say CCH wins by something in the 9-14 range.
RoundBaller Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 When is this game? Tomorrow or Friday? Remember, CovCath is not restricted by silly Title IX rules. So, this is probably one of the only games in town Friday night. Get their early if you want to get in

colfan80 Posted January 18, 2006 Author Posted January 18, 2006 Dixie has played Eastern, Ballard, at Scott County, at Pendleton County, at St. Xavier (OH), at George Rogers Clark, DeSales, plus at Highlands. Only a couple of those games were blowouts, and losing by only 15 at Scott County (#1 in the state) should be a positive step for the rest of their season.
