Dixie @ Covington Catholic Predictions

Featured Replies

Dixie has played Eastern, Ballard, at Scott County, at Pendleton County, at St. Xavier (OH), at George Rogers Clark, DeSales, plus at Highlands. Only a couple of those games were blowouts, and losing by only 15 at Scott County (#1 in the state) should be a positive step for the rest of their season.

That's rough. Should be a tough game for both teams. I'll take CCH by 6 at home.

I think Dixie keeps this one close, but imo Covcath wins this one in the end by 5 or less.

Dixie will be a mirror image of Holy Cross with slightly lower level of guard play.

On the 3-pt shooting yes but do they have the physical inside play as HC?

Who will be in the stands at what I'm guessing will be a packed arena?

CCH by a half dozen

CovCath by 13. Tj goes nuts and scores 25+.

My impression is that, no, Dixie has no inside game. I haven't seen them in a few weeks so maybe the big kid is getting more PT and contributing.

Dixie is a step below HC. Essentially, they have 2 offensive threats.

CCH should handle them and I think you're looking at a 10-15 pt game.

Look for Kevin Lubrano to go nuts and score 25+. He and the rest of the Dixie defense should shut TJ down to under 10. I'll take Dixie by half a dozen.

Which of your wild statements is more likely to come true? The one above or the Beechwood over Holmes statement?

This ones a little tough to buy into, but hey, everyones entitled to their opinion.

CovCath by 10 at home. Got to believe Jacobs will bounce back from HC game with a big game.

Question for all 9th region fans out there:

Do you think Cov Cath is better off when the other team focuses on Todd, allowing other players more scoring oppurtunities (HC, Elder) or letting Todd get his 18-20 points and shutting everyone else down (Highlands, Owens. Cath)?

CCH 66

Dixie 54

HC showed that you put a kid on Todd and tell him to be within a foot of him everywhere he goes and to not worry about help defense you have a chance to win the game. HHS showed the same thing in the 2nd half of that game.

To me, that's your answer.
