Scott 63 Simon Kenton 61
Seems like Miller carried over his performance to the varsity game. 11 points off of the bench is huge. He seems to bring a lot of energy to the game off of the bench. Great for the Smith kid in the JV game. I have liked his game since I saw him play over the summer. I have heard nothing but good things about him this season. Hopefully he is developing into a player that can help Scott next year. Have also heard that Smith isn't the best player in the family. Been told that he's got a brother in middle school that can play. Great win for Scott, hopefully this can build some confidence for district play.

Upset night?
Holmes losing to a very average Boone County team at home? That one has to top the upset special list. Holy Cross over Highlands at Holy Cross is only a mild upset. Indians are very tough at home.

Holy Cross getting hot at the right time. Leader board in the Ninth looks to be changing. :ylsuper:

Heard the JV game was even more exciting than the varsity game? Any details?

SK vs. Scott Feb 17!
Howard dominates Hurd but Scott has no answer for Hester. SK by 5

NCC 58 Covington Holmes 55
Losing an all region performer is going to have some effect, not to mention team chemistry which always appeared fragile is bound to suffer. Hope they can put all of the off the court issues behind them in time for district play. Ninth Region is going to be one big dogfight :fight: , remains to be seen if these Dogs can be part of it.

Conner 62 Campbell County 59
Tough loss for the Camels. Conner is always one of those teams that seems to play better at the end of the season.

Covington Catholic 93 Scott 78
Coaches have to be positive at times as well and mostly be teachers. Way too much negativity surrounding the program in addition to the eight game losing. Scott seems to be playing like a bunch of kids who can't wait for the season to be over.

Scott @ CovCath Predictions
Talk about an emotional roller coaster from 12-3 to 12-10. Team needs to somehow refocus and get back on track. Just don't think CovCath is that place. Were they as good as 12-3 start or are they as bad as recent 7 game slide?

Scott @ CovCath Predictions
Scott will keep it close in the first half but CovCath pulls away in the second half for a 10+ point victory.

Conner 72 Scott 64
CovCath at CovCath.....not a great place to break a losing streak.

Conner 72 Scott 64
Good coach...always seems to get the most out of his talent. Every couple of years he gets a good group and contends for the regional title.

A win in the books for the Camels and some varsity PT for a lot of kids.

 You can't be serious. Anybody that has watch the JV games know who makes that team go! Who would that be?

Holmes @ Highlands 2/7
Like Holmes overall athleticism and Jefferson is still the premier point guard in the 9th. The match up between Vories and Jefferson should be a classic!! Whats the over/under on the Ben G and Greg Rice techs? :argue: Holmes by 4 :ylsuper:

Scott @ Conner Predictions 2/7
Not saying that any of these players should be starting or playing half a game but the six man rotation isn't working. Free throw percentages and shooting percentages dropping, all signs of tired legs. The teams that are beating Scott on the varsity level are getting minutes from players who also play JV, the same JV teams that are losing to Scotts JV. When do they learn to be varsity players? Next year? Sharp, Quigley & Miller will be the only returning players with any appreciable varsity time. For arguments sake Felts & Castleman round out the top five with the next most minutes. Smith is your first guard off of the bench and Zimmerman is the first front court player off of the bench? Can that group compete next year on the varsity level with limited varsity exposure this year?

Scott @ Conner Predictions 2/7
If you just look at the records this is a game Scott should win. However, Scotts losing streak has to be playing with their heads a little bit. Scott continues to play everyone tough for 3 quarters but then fatigue sets in and teams pull away. Keep reading that Scotts players have tired legs, short bench hurts them, yet the JV team is in the final four of regional tourney? Majority of JV team is juniors, if they can't help you give starters breathers this year can you expect them to contribute next year? Castleman & Smith need to be able to give a minimum of 3-4 minutes a game in addition to the minutes of Miller and Felts for Scott to be able to finish games. Picking Scott to win a close game. Remaining schedule doesn't do them any favors if they don't win this game.

9th Region JV Tourney Results/Updates
Scott beat Holmes

Highlands 65 Scott 54
Hard to predict future success off of JV results. Scott plays mostly Jr.'s on the JV. McGraw & Simpson look like a good place to start a foundation for the next couple of years.

CovCath vs. SK friday 3rd!! predictions
Should be a good battle between Tierney and Hester. If Noll continues with his recent play and Schult follows up his most recent performance I think CovCath depth inside wears down SK. CovCath by 5 in a close game. :walk:

Scott struggling and PC looking at stretch drive. PC by 10+

CovCath 60 Campbell Co. 44
Talented soph class...probably just trying to lengthen his bench and get some varsity minutes to see how these players will react. Will only help down the road.

So the ability to shoot the ball and score points is a bad thing?
