good win for the eagles. They shut hester down. He got 6 of his points with less than 30 seconds left when the game was more than over. Danny Miller hit two clutch 3's down the stretch to pull the eagles up by 7 with a minute left. Good win for the eagles, game they needed badly.

I agree, they needed this bad. Great game for Miller,came up big with those threes :banana:

I understand that but did they zone or who shut him down? Seems like Scott's been having defensive issues lately.....

Scott did a nice job overall defensively tonight. While they did a good job cutting off a lot of Mike's dribbling penetrations, Mike went with what he they gave him he had a lot of nice assists. Mike had one play where it looked like he was going to lose the ball out of bounds, he saved the ball and whipped it underneath to Elbert for a uncontested layup that left the whole gym in awe!! Tonight the Eagles played one of their better games considering they had lost 7 or 8 in a row. They play like they did tonight and they probably don't lose the game they did to Campbell County. This is another game where the Pioneers led at half and simply did not finish..like Neerfan said there is fortunately still a tommorrow for the Pioneers . All I can say is nice job Scott and good luck the rest of the way!! :thumb:

Tiger, how'd they stop/slow down Hester? How was the Howard vs. Hurd matchup?

Scott's guards played man against Hester and did a good job of stopping his penetration. Hurd played well early and Howard had a good overall game.

 

Scott should have had a bigger lead if they would hit their free throws and lay-ups.

 

Good game for Quigley. The kid can take the ball to the basket.

 

Miller of Scott was huge off the bench with 11. He made some very timely 3's.

IMO Miller should be starting!
