Both games were just as exciting. The J.V game was won on a buzzer beater in overtime by Danny Miller. Kid had a heck of a night in both games.

Very true, he might of hit 5 in the 4th and O.T alone. Very good shooter, him and Miller are the reason Scott won the J.V game last night. I have had my dobuts about smith but he showed me he could play last night.

I think this might just be the Scott team we will see the rest of the season.

I agree with you on this one. This should give Scott a lot of confidence the rest of the season.

Seems like Miller carried over his performance to the varsity game. 11 points off of the bench is huge. He seems to bring a lot of energy to the game off of the bench.

 

Great for the Smith kid in the JV game. I have liked his game since I saw him play over the summer. I have heard nothing but good things about him this season. Hopefully he is developing into a player that can help Scott next year.

 

Have also heard that Smith isn't the best player in the family. Been told that he's got a brother in middle school that can play. :lol:

 

Great win for Scott, hopefully this can build some confidence for district play.

First off Congrats to the Eagles players and coaching staff on a good win.

 

Second off I dont see how they shut Hester down. Yes you are correct he did not have a ton of points but points arent everything. There are a lot of other things that need to be done to be succesful on the court not always winning on the court but not getting blown out. Hester did not have the best scoring night of his career but you cannot say that they shut him down, he had numerous assists and steals.

 

I know I have said this many many times and I am sure that you are all sick of hearing me say it but Hurd has to be more physical. This kid does not realize how much talent he has and/or is capable of having if he just gets stronger and plays like a 6'6 instead of a 5'6 in the post.

I would have to say that Scott did a nice job of shutting Hester down. He did have a handful of assists and a few steals but in order for the Pioneers to win he needs to play much better. Scott played straight man on him and there really wasn't much he could do to shake free. This loss can't fair well from Simon Kenton who was obviously looking to build momentum before the post season begins.

What?? Did you think maybe he knows the family or talks to them? I know my friend has a brother that is good at basketball but I'm definately not part of his family. There was no need to even comment on that.
