Corbin is the best by far....all the tradition and always a big crowd, fireworks, etc....they go all out

Besides Papa John's in early December man that was great. I'd have to say that most people in Northeastern KY including myself would have to say besides Henry R. Evans Stadium at Russell, probably Putnam Stadium in Ashland. Ashland has a great atmosphere great tradition and great fans. It still don't have that fire breathing Devil and fireworks like Russell has though!! :fire: :ylsuper: These are 2 great stadiums to watch games. Also Tanks Memorial Stadium in Ironton, OH just across the river is pretty neat also!

Death Valley in Lincoln County when the fog rolls in.

I always enjouyed Putnam Stadium in Ashland, as well as Middlesboro's Lee Major's Field!

I'd agree with you...... although I wouldnt say BY FAR the best. LOL. Little biasis there?! :thumb:

I will agree with Corbin but one only when it's done up right (example: Pigskin, Big game, Playoffs). Don't get me wrong, there is definately a unique aura about Campbell field but it seems to have lost it's luster a little bit. It's definately not the players, teams, coaches, as much as it is the pregame and crowds.

 

For one, I know they put in hours of hard work day after day but the band needs to hush their bugles up during the spirit line. Only one song needs to be heard at that moment and it's not that little fight song.

 

The fans are still do or die and some of the greatest and most loyal in the state but crowds have been down in the more recent past. I think that is attributed to the competition of district play. With all due respect to the Casey, Adair, Taylor, and Russell (most years) Counties the competition just hasn't been there. A lot of people just don't want to stand out in the freezing temperatures, rain, ect to watch a 65-14 game that has starters pulled at halftime. I think it would benefit Corbin and their district foes to part ways at the next reallignment.

 

Overall Campbell Field @ Denes stadium is one of a kind.

 

One more note, if the post office ever decides to move, the land should definately be purchaced and a state of the art locker room should be built in that endzone.

In Northern Kentucky, Campbell County's stadium is the best to watch a game at. Id say even the best to play at.

I liked Ryle's stadium.

Highlands has to be the most smothering and intimidating place to play. You walk into a state of the art field and there is not much room on the visitors side, which is barricaded by the stands. NOt much privacy going on for visitors. It has the school in the back drop. I would say a pretty awesome atmosphere.

Southwestern, because of their great fans, and Lincoln Co., because of their great chili dogs.

Although I hate the drive, I always enjoy Pikeville. Nice facilities, good food, good people.
