Wow, sounds like a barn burner of a game.

I have heard that alot of kids have beefed up and when they go out on the field they will look like a football team, not that didn't in the past.....This coming year, size wise they will look like 3A team and numbers too.

Yeah, I didn't see too many Eastern Ky kids on that list. Even though there has been how many State Championships lately in the 2A division. I am sure those schools have D-1 recruits, plus there are many more talented kids in Eastern Ky that I am sure will be D-1 recruits by the end of the year.

I am glad to hear that JC played well with that young team on the field. There is no experience like playing games, so I am sure they will come along nicely this year. Who else will be pitching this year besides Fyffe and Blanton?

I think you took it the wrong way what InTheLoop was trying to say. He was in no way putting down Betsy Layne. He was just saying that basically there might be a mental block with the Paintsville team and that not having to face them makes JC not as stressed and can play a little more loose. Trust me, there is no one at JC overlooking the Bobcats, they know really well that it will be a war on Friday and that the Bobcats are just as capable of beating them as anyone else..

I don't think Coach Starns is going to let his kids look past the game on Friday night. Because the old saying goes, "You can't win it, if you are not in it".

Great gutsy performance by the Eagles last night. I was impressed with how hard Pikeville played last night, Honaker is a player........Great game Eagles, first game jitters should be out of the way now.

Depends on which JC team shows up. They better come with the shoes laced up or they will be in a war just like last night.

Congrats to Coach Rose.. Maybe he can get some of the parents off his back. I hope that Coach Rose continues to coach at Betsy Layne until he is ready to leave and not when a group of parents is ready for him to leave. Good win for the Bobcat program. They played really well last night.

Well, I hope that JC/Paintsville meet in the finals. What a game the other night and no reason not to repeat the performance with a bigger crowd in a a bigger venue. Of course I would hope that the Black and Gold came out on top...

Well, this is what everyone wanted since the first day of basketball practice. Both teams had to play their guts out just to get to this point. I will give my prediction tomorrow.

Well, this brings me to my question that I was going to pose. Who is actually the coach of this team? I watched Shawn Hager do all the coaching during timeouts and he was the one that was getting on the officials or having discussions with them. I know that J.R. is supposed to be the head man, but looked like he had no interest in what was going on last night. Can anyone from S.C. explain this. I thought Central played a great second half last night, looked like the first half was somewhat of a I am going to get mine attitude..They really good team ball in the second half.
