  1. Nice post. Alot of truth in this post.
  2. This should be a very good game to watch. Both teams like to push the ball up and down the floor and put points on the board. I hope to see a big crowd out for this game from both sides.
  3. I think there will be a few teams that will have a say so in this one but Ashland won't be one of them.
  4. Midway through the 4th quarter this was a 9 point game. So, I really don't think that JC was trying to run up the score.
  5. Congrats to Coach Matney on his award. Congrats to the whole Johnson Central program from top to bottom. From the administration right down to the fans. What a year to remember for the JC program and we are expecting big things in the years to come. Again, thank you Coach Matney and congrats to you.
  6. This was a very good game by JC. The defense stepped it up in the second half. East Carter had been shooting lights out from the 3 the point line all night. They were 8 for 9 from the first to the third quarter. They were lighting it up. I was impressed with the Freshman Bair for them. McCarty again showed why he is one of best players in the 15th Region. Not only is he scoring but he is also rebounding and playing defense really well. Justin Murray played extremely well in this game, he got his shot going and he was a monster on the boards in this game from a guard spot. Crum was the ususal good floor general. Nice win for the Golden Eagles.
  7. McCarty had a big game last night. I think he ended up with about 30.
  8. Why do you think this is surprising? The low score?
  9. What holiday tourneys is Rose Hill playing in this year?
  10. Magoffin Co. has beat Betsy Layne, Jackson City and Prestonsburg.
  11. Wow, this score really surprised me.
  12. Wow, do you think you could come to more JC threads and make your jabs. :fire:
  13. What is next week? Who does Paintsville play?
  14. No, Mr. Grimm does not play basketball.
  15. Thank you LSURock. I was wondering if it was Seniors only. I guess we will have to start lobbying early for next year then.
  16. Sounds like a nice pitch....
  17. I can't see that Shawn Grimm's name shouldn't be considered among these even though he is just a Junior. He took his team as far as some of these guys and even further than some. Plus, take a look at his stats in the semis against what some of you guys are saying as one of the best Defenses in the state in Cov. Cath.
  18. Which football players besides Ian will be coming out for basketball this year?
  19. Who are the leading rushers in the state? Shouldn't they get a little bit of consideration?
  20. What a ballgame and what an atmosphere for a high school football game. I am sure that there is small colleges that would love to have the atmosphere that was represented by both teams on Friday night... Congrats to CCH on a hard fought victory (just wish we could have seen a full game by Blake Johnson to see what might have happened). JC nothing to hang your head about. You guys played hard and never quit and you have set the bar high for the teams of the future. Let's just go out and win the same way next year so that we might just see a rematch of Friday night. Good luck to CCH this weekend in the Pizza Box..
  21. Tailgating starts at 4:00 from what I have heard from several people this week. I think there will be some very good food in the tailgating areas. Better be there very early for this one. If anyone on here from CCH wants to get together for the ballgame for a little tailgating fun, pm me and we will figure out how to get in touch Friday before the game.
