Im glad i read all the posts before i had to print what you just wrote Frances,you are exactly on the money.When the linemen see's the LB starting to stunt he must make a gap call for linemen to block down and others to block man on him accourding to d-fense . We learned that in jr. high .:thumb: The screens worked good middle and outside,the middle screen would be a good play for the Tomcats,plus some over the middle to tightend(imo). The Tomcat players will decide this one,we have the talent but do we have the heart to get after these guys.Tomcats play with desire we win big ,if we don't sacafice our minds and body and get after somebody with bad intentions we could be in a fight for a win. I beleave this team can step it up a notch and win. HITTING WINS THIS GAME EVERYTIME.

JC is one of the best wishbone teams i have seen in a while,and don't forget those linemen firing off the ball the timing is perfect. Back in the 70s Ashland had some very good wishbone teams also,but one team gave us fits on our blocking rules- Huntington High.They ran a 4-4 d-fense with a aggressive stunting D showing stunts one way when you got set and at the last second stunting the other gap on a preplaned gap stunt. It drove us crazy they never over penetrated so are backs could get behind them and we had two all-state backs and two all-state linemen . But thats easier said then done and HHS had some skilled players,they beat us in close games several years with this high risk d-fense. JC wins 42-0:thumb: Mason Co. is a great place.

I like that RedBlood ---but not being cocky ,but it couldn't have been mine -- my facemask and helment was stuck in a Lions chest with bad intentions .:thumb: (lol) Your right RedBlood the tradition of the rivalry goes back generations of two teams giving every ounce of desire to win a football game. The city boys vs the county boys.:thumb: I'll take the Tomcats who should be fired up and ready to play some aggressive football with desire ,heart,emotion.

How about the wide white tape on the front of Ashland helments that said Stick A Hick .:lol: Those were some vicious hitting games in the 60s 70s. The team records meant nothing .

I think (imo)Ashland has more skilled players then Boyd Co. and on paper should win,but when these two teams play throw the records and stats out the window. I hope on film day the Tomcats take a close look at the disire and timing of the JC football team.The timing on offense was perfect ,when the snap count was called and the ball started to move the o-line was firing off the ball right with the backs and getting after somebody .(IMO)IF our o-line fired off the ball with 3/4 of the disire of JC we would be very hard to beat. I"ll take Ashland in a close game .

Your right cat, big John would kick it out of the endzone every kick.He sure helped our d-fense and team with field position.He would use a string and tie the front cleat back on his shoe and kick it straight ahead.I wish we had a kicker now who could kick it in the endzone. Terry Fish could do it too,held the record at Putnam on field goal forever.

Sounds like Tomcats will have thier hands full.I wonder if thats the same rb from last year he was very talented also.

IF not mistaken several changes were made after the Raceland game Walters to center and so on.Snodgrass returning last nite sure helped, he played a fine game.

Congrads Tomcats,the o-line is improving each week ,Walters was Pancakeing his man most of the nite and great job and coming back and playing hurt with mental toughness ,all of the line just whipped Russell up front.The defense did a great job stepping up and stopping the power -I.The Tomcats have always had good backs and the line changes and mental attidude make the Tomcats a good football team. :thumb:
