Not sure why, but without him Mason had no offense.

Tomcat D played well. Again tonight penalties stopped too many Tomcat drives. Good win.... survive and advance. :thumb:

Congrats to the team on the win. Ashland's defense played very well, but I just don't think the Cats are playing very well as a whole. There were way too many penalties, and I thought the offense looked sluggish at best. The fullbacks (Davis and Cordle) ran the ball hard as always, but it seems that the Tomcats look worse everytime I see them.

On the radio Dickie mentioned disciplinary reasons.

Good win for the Tomcats! Defense played well, but they have got to stop with all the penalties.

I talked to Phil Hay before the game, and he told me the story. To be honest I was really shocked at what the reason was. It just seemed like something very minor. I don't want to judge anyone from the Mason Co. administration. They did what they felt was neccessary. If you want the reason you can pm me, but I don't feel it's my place to post it on here. I'll leave that decision up to the proper people.

A win is a win. Nothing spectacular, Mason just had no ability to move the ball, period. Mason had -4 yards at halftime and 40 for the entire game.
