Johnson Central/Mason County predictions

Featured Replies

After showing how good they really are, JC is looking to finish off the regular season 10-0 as they face a tough opponent in Mason County. Will they go undeafted or suffer an "upset" loss?

This is Masons senior nite and the Eagles come in Soaring at 9-0 and really on a roll.Royals are 7-2 and can hopefully keep it close.Whats everyone think on this one .By the way Eagles fans come early to the tailgate party which begins at 5:30 as this week we have Deshas chili a local favorite.Should be a very big crowd on hand.Mason is 3-1 in District play as is Ashland,JC is 4-0 IF and its a big IF Mason upset JC who would be at home for the playoffs out of these 3 teams .

Hopefully it will be nice and get to see Coach Starns and the family down for this one.

I look for JC to go 10-0 but Mason is very capable of pulling the upset..I believe they're a little stronger overall than the Tomcats are...

Tell us more about the DeSha's chile! Seriously, senior night had something to do with JCHS scoring on the first play against Ashland and then giving them a 3 and out possession, all in the first 2 minutes. Hope it doesn't work as well for you next week.

Both teams have home field motivation in this game. Mason falls to third behind Ashland if they lose, Central falls to a tiebreaker if they don't win. Our belief is it is the same "points" system, taking the number of wins of the 4 opponents your team beat (not in the tiebreaker) with the best records. The "weak schedule" (or more properly poor season of your opponents) can come back to haunt a team like JCHS, and we would definitely lose home field to Ashland and perhaps Mason as well.

With that motivation, the Eagles should keep their focus and win this game. Looking for both teams to play their best, an injury free game, and maybe some chile next Friday.

This should be a good game but i look for the eagles to come up with the win and the district championship..

Johnson Central will be more ready to play than ever. JC didnt win 9 games just to loose THEIR district title!

Johnson Central - 52

Mason County - 14

Too much Grimm, Johnson, Richardson, Dillion, Welch...the whole cornicopia(sp.?) of backs will dominate

Defense continues its dominance

Johnson Central 49

Mason County 6

I am going to make the trip. I cant wait until next friday. Because this game is bigger than the Ashland game. JC HAS TO WIN this game to win THEIR district title. Maybe a nice Mason County poster can give us JC folk directions up there.

What is the tiebreaker if Mason were to beat Johnson Central? There would be a three way tie for 1st.

JC could end up with third place. It used to be the record of the opponents you have beaten.

Well, this is the way I would come.

460 to Salyersville

take 460/7 north to West Liberty

Make a right on 519 all the way to Morehead ( you're an hour away now)

make a right on US 60 for about 0.3 of a mile then

Make left on rt. 32 in Morehaed ( sonic, BW3's)

take rt. 32 into Flemingsburg

In Flemingsburg rt. 32 "T-Bones" Rt. 11 turn left ( just about 15 minutes)

Take 11 into Maysville where you will make a left on Rt. 9 also known as the AA highway.

Take Rt. 11 into Maysville where you will make a right on to US 68 @ Hardees

Once on US 68 Mason County High is about a Driver and a 3 wood on your right!

Enjoy!!!!!

Yeah, you might plan on about 3 hours.

Make sure you take notice of the change i made on the directions. It's nothing you probably wouldn't have figured out yourself, but just in case.

Got it. :thumb:

So if I want to get there for the chili... I need to leave Eagleville by 2:30?
