Got it. :thumb:

So if I want to get there for the chili... I need to leave Eagleville by 2:30?

That will get you here in plenty of time.

Since you asked, skip the chili and head straight for Pasquale's.

it's about 2 or 3 miles past the school on 68.

Is it similar to the Pasquale's in Morehead?

This is the most dangerous game on Johnson Central's schedule. I hope that the Golden Eagle players do not get caught up in the over confidence that will afflict many of their fans. The game will be played in Maysville - not Paintsville. Mason County can win the top seed and send JC on the road to Ashland with a win next week.

Mason County played the same Lafayette team tough that is undefeated and fresh off a win over higly regarded Henry Clay. Mason County defeated a very athletic Frankfort team that dominated Danville last night. Last season, Mason County narrowly missed upsetting Rockcastle County on the road in the regional championship game, despite losing regular season games to both Ashland and Johnson Central on the road.

Dave Buchanan is an excellent coach and seems to have the same kind of knack for motivating teams to play their best in big games that Jim Matney possesses. This is Mason County's biggest game of the season and it is also Johnson Central's biggest game of the season. If Johnson Central's players and fans travel to Maysville next week expecting a cakewalk, they likely will be very disappointed.

Johnson Central may be held to its lowest point total of the season next week and the team might need a halftime wake-up call from Coach Matney before pulling this one out:

20 Johnson Central

7 Mason County

Good post Dino. Mason Co. is a dangerous team – especially at home. They are well coached and come on strong at the end of the season.

You can’t afford a letdown after beating Ashland at “The Nest” – this game will be something else entirely. Maysville is a nice place to visit. The folks there will be hospitable and friendly – but their team will give you fits on the field.

I believe that JC is the clear favorite. But, I’m going to be pulling for the underdog to get the upset. A 3-way tie in the district would sure make things interesting. :D

In my opinion there is no comparison other than the name!!! Maysville is definitely better.

Agree you cant go wrong here either. The tailgate party goes from 5:30 till about 6:45 or 7:00 though.

Mason Co -20

JC -14

Me personally, Im taking Double A Highway up to Mason.

Now as far as the game. This game is huge for both teams. Any one who knows anything about Mason knows that they play well at home and have a ton of athletes. This will be a tough game but I believe that game against Byran Station should have prepared them for a team with a # of athletes. JC is coming off a huge win and could be in for a letdown but I dont see it. This team know that they have everything to lose with a loss which would ultimately cause JC to fall to #3 in the district with the tie breaker system. JC will come ready to play, as will Mason Co, and we should be in for a dandy but I just believe that JC has to many offensive weapons to be contained and will win. My prediction:

Johnson Central: 35

Mason Co.: 21

So you are looking at about a 30 minute drive from your house

I live way out in the county but hey, Im not that far out. For me it is about a 2 hour drive though and you can make good time going that way. Road is very similiar to Mountain Parkway but has plenty of long straight-aways for passing. Plus the High School is just off to the right of it so its not hard to find that way.

JC would only fall to #3 if Ashland also wins Friday night, in which case Ashland wins the district. If Mason wins and Ashland loses, Mason wins the district, JC is second, and Ashland (I believe) would fall to fourth behind Boyd County. Mind bogglin', ain't it?

Can you explain this a little better? What exactly is the tie breaker that would give Mason the district championship with this scenario?
