I didn't think Ashland would have any problem in this one. I heard Coach Hart say on his postgame interview that Ashland would never play Preatonsburg again as long as he's the head coach.

I think they have been waiting for that contract to run out anyway. Good win for the TCats. What were some of the highlights?

Matt Thomas had about 215 yards rushing and 2 TD's (18 yards, 60 yards or so) he also had a 50 yard TD run called back. Drew McDavid returned a kickoff 84 yards for a TD and returned a INT 33 yards for a TD. Josh Cordle and Fields Davis also ran well, Cordle added a late TD.

They just talked about the 4 year contract being up and thats what got Coach Hart to say that we would not play them again. It has to do with the game 2 years ago where Ashland felt they got robbed because of a "trick" play Pburg ran, I'll just leave it at that. There has been a lot of animosity between these two programs ever since.

Actually it wasnt that close. Pburg added a late TD basically against Ashland's JV's and Ashland had the ball inside the 10 with 1 minute left and took a knee. It easily could have been 45-14 or 45-20, but it doesnt matter. A win is a win and I'll take one by 18 every week! :thumb:

Thomas has turned his game up to another level, starting with the Russell game. The TCats also have shifted into another gear. Fields Davis is such a hard worker and runs hard. To another week and start preparing for the next one. Enjoy it tonight and start preparing tomorrow.

Uh I think I remember the radio announcer saying it was 26-14 going into the 4th, so it was closer than what most will admit, Pburg's defense got tired IMO, but a win is a win, but it was no blowout by any means.

I think Coach Hart was upset because Ashland was taking a knee to end the game and Pburg called their last 2 times out's during the final minute.

I don't think I could smell anything on that superstitious t-shirt others have been talking about, although my sinuses were acting up and I couldn't smell anything and no one else wanted to sit up front with him. :sssh:
