Ashland will be back and will be competitive this year. Some quality kids coming up thru the program will step it up.

Drew McDavid
Having the opportunity to coach Drew a few years ago, I learned early on what a quality person Drew McDavid was not to mention a very athletically gifted individual as well. I do wish Drew all the best of luck in his endeavors at Georgetown College and I know he will be a winner there as well as long after that because he is a special individual. Good luck Drew! :thumb: I will miss watching you in the maroon and white.

Ashland 68 Boyd 66
Congrats Tomcats!! A very exciting game. Selby was unstoppable in the first half and I was a little surprised they didn't try to go to him more in the second, although he was playing a little tentative because of fouls. Good luck to both teams in the region.

A class system for hoops?
I disagree, We are not that far removed from the Tigers of Painstville winning the state championship. And I think it can happen again.

Kentucky Christian U signees list!
This KCU football program is offering what no other football program can to incoming freshmen, a chance at substantial playing time. This coupled with the recruitment of a lot of local players can only create a positive football atmosphere in Grayson and Northeastern Ky that hopefully will result in a successful program much like their basketball program that all in the area can be proud of along with giving the local players a chance to continue their football careers a little longer while earning a college degree close to home.:thumb: :thumb:

Great enthusiasm and spirit for the home team. Heard on the radio where they had 'practice' this week. That is definitely school spirit.

"The Shot": 25 years later...
I wasn't at this game but I remember seeing the highlight of it on ESPN. This was my senior year and North Hardin was the prohibitive favorite for the entire season to win it all. We at Ashland played N. Hardin twice this year losing the first in the King of the Bluegrass tourney in Louisville by a point or two after leading the entire game and also losing to them in the finals of the Ashland Inv. Tourn. by 8 points. It was an excitiing season many years ago.

Ashland's Season Part II
A great year for this years team. This group of seniors rose to the occasion to show their pride in the last game only to come up short. A truly heartbreaking loss that they will remember for the rest of their lives, but will know that they left everything on the field. These seniors will be missed but as it has been said before, others will step in to fill their shoes and will carry the Tomcat tradition on. My thanks to this years class for giving me a memorable season. :thumb:
