the Eagles play Boyd county. Grimm doesn't quite have the speed of Blume but he runs very hard. I started a thread on best running backs in the region throw your boys name out there.I've not seen him play this year I would like to see what people think.

Grimms stats will be better or comparable to any ones in this district for the year.

I think it's funny how everyone always criticizes D. Martin all the time but when he supports your argument, then he's what he said is ok with you.

I really hate to bad mouth anyone, but let's just say that I now believe some of the stuff I've heard before about the way Prestonsburg plays. On one of Matt Thomas's big TD runs, Michael Walters was drilled in the back by two Prestonsburg players. The ball was 30-35 yards ahead of them and was clearly flagrant. There was a penalty called on the play, but there's absolutely no place for that kind of play. If I were a coach, and one of my players pulled a stunt like that they would be on the sidelines with me for the rest of the game, and they would be running all day Saturday morning for me. :madman:

You hate to bad mouth anyone but yet your willing to go ahead and do it....So if your a coach then that player would sit out and/or run the next practice,right? So the offsetting personal fouls(started by the Ashland player) and the personal foul late in the game on Ashland would cause you to run those players,correct?

FYI,it was just one player that made the hit and it was addressed at the half.

And by some of the things I heard during the game I now believe some of the things about the Ashland fans.

All ive got to say is good win for the Cats over the officials they got robbed last night. It was pitiful, the things happening on the field that werent called. late hits were very abundant from Pburg. And does anyone know if its legal or any kinds of rules with changing your jersey number after halftime? There was a guy from pburg who did that who had a personal foul in the first half. I wonder if this was picked up by the officials or if they just counted him as a different player.

It is legal to change jersey's and it was reported to the ref's by the staff. We at P'burg don't have the numbers that Ashland has so when a kid goes down with a injury(one that was laughed at by some Ashland fans by the way,class) we plug with what we have. The kid who switched plays both TE & OT and it depends on how the staff feels on where he starts on game nights. Our OT went out with a concussion and 81 had to go to OT so he went to his 66 jersey so we would'nt have formation problems. It's the same number he wore during the Leslie Co. game,which the Ash. staff had a copy of.

I believe there's a huge difference in two players going at it face to face, than a player running up from behind and drilling a player in the back when the ball is 30-40 yards ahead of them. Then again the player was being punished on every play by Ashland's center, so I guess he figured that's the only way he could get his shots in. Please tell me what you heard during the game from the Ashland fans. I sat right in the middle of the Ashland cheering section, and saw nor heard anything that was disrespectful.

I agree, I'm with you on this one.:thumb: How could anyone possibly criticize a guy, who after a grueling friday night in the booth (saying nasty things about everyone not in maroon) conjours up enough intestinal fortitude to come out to the field on sundays (with a lot of help from adopted son GIAT) to mow grass, pull weeds, pick up popcorn boxes, discard old abandoned junk, and do countless hours of general spiffy-up work just to make Putnam the national treasure it is. He has earned the right to be considered right on everything.
