The P-burg radio announcers didnt mention this just said it would have been closer if not for the special teams miscues.

Duh, their radio announcers are masters of the obvious. The game also would not have been as close if it wasnt for Ashland's miscues on 2 plays. But miscues whether on special teams, defense, or offense are part of the game. Pburg's offense did nothing all night except for one 50 yard TD run on 4th and 2, and a 20 yard TD pass setup by a nice punt return.

I felt like Ashland didn't play very well although Thomas did put up some more good numbers and the Cats IMO controlled this game for the most part of the game

. The Ashland passing attack was practically non-existant along with the passing defense.

Just a sloppy performance all around although it was a win.

I agree the game was pretty sloppy. But the outcome was never in doubt. Time for district play! The bye week should give some guys a chance to get healthy, but that also means no football next friday  But it will be nice to get Luke Bonner back on the field against Greenup!

:thumb: I thought that this game was a lot closer by the way there were talking. But i guess they would make it seem that way if at all possible. Congrats Tomcats on the win and good luck P-burg on the rest of your season.

Good to hear that Luke will be back. Good kid. The Musketeers are playing better each week. The TCats had better take this week and get ready for an improving team. They must come ready to play to win.

No doubt. This Tomcat team has definitely showed alot of their weaknesses in this first part of the season.

I have never liked open dates but maybe this one comes at a time when the Cats can work out their problems and overcome some of their bumps and bruises. But as GIAT stated, there won't be a game Friday and that will be tough for me, but maybe the misses will like it.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank LRCW for his hospitality for providing the transportation to and from the game for me and the family.

I don't think I could smell anything on that superstitious t-shirt others have been talking about, although my sinuses were acting up and I couldn't smell anything and no one else wanted to sit up front with him. :sssh:

No problem Blues Brother. I enjoyed the trip. I'll drive everytime if I get fed like I did tonight. By the way I sure smelled what you dropped on us at the ballgame. :scared:

Coach Hart is a good coach. He will definitely address the problems.

You might be right about the misses. Enjoy your off week.

I'm sorry but your gonna have to find a better restaurant than that the next time.

What happened that had Coach Hart so upset?

I really hate to bad mouth anyone, but let's just say that I now believe some of the stuff I've heard before about the way Prestonsburg plays. On one of Matt Thomas's big TD runs, Michael Walters was drilled in the back by two Prestonsburg players. The ball was 30-35 yards ahead of them and was clearly flagrant. There was a penalty called on the play, but there's absolutely no place for that kind of play. If I were a coach, and one of my players pulled a stunt like that they would be on the sidelines with me for the rest of the game, and they would be running all day Saturday morning for me. :madman:

I agree with this assesment. I thought the Tomcats looked awfully flat the 1st half, and the defense was far less than desireable. A win is a win like GIAT so though, and I'll take it.

Nice win for the Tomcats!!!!! Congrats.

I wasn't going to bring this subject up but since you did then I will put in my five cents worth. I thought the officiating in this game was rather poor.

Uh I think I remember the radio announcer saying it was 26-14 going into the 4th, so it was closer than what most will admit, Pburg's defense got tired IMO, but a win is a win, but it was no blowout by any means.

Not to mention Prestonsburg had a reciever drop a WIDE open pass with not a person within 10 yards of them...the game was alot closer then the score indicates..
