Ashland's Michael Walters didn't play in the 2nd half. Anyone have an update on him?

First of all let me say congrats to Ashland on the win. Now for the game, the score in this one doesnt do justice to LC. They played a heck of a game scoring early in the 3rd quarter and having a TD called back on a very very bad block in the back call. Thomas looked like a pretty solid running back but doesnt hit the hole very hard at that will hurt him against the JC defense. Mahan has a good arm and scrambles very well. The defense of Ashland was pretty solid and we should be in for a great game come friday night. Good Luck to LC on the rest of your season and we'll see you Tomcats this week.

I know he had a back problem. I dont think it is too serious and lets hope he will be back soon.

Michael's back problem (bulging discs) flared up on him again in the first half and kept him out of the remainder of the ballgame. Had ice on it the entire second half along with a cortisone shot during halftime but the coaching staff decided to keep him out for the rest of the ballgame.

Both had a good game, but Mahan was a little indecisive a few times that led to incompletions and a couple of interceptions. But there were no fumbles, :thumb: at least on his part tonight. :irked:

It probably could have been, but Ashland played their JV for most of the 4th quarter.

I was there, the starters played half the 4th quarter. The score was just 17-0 at halftime and 17-6 early in the 3rd quarter. The score may have been one TD worse but not much worse.
