GRC is full of talent. Most of which have not played much together and at the varsity level. They will be fine as the year rolls on but I do not think they are a top ten team in the state.

I don't know if it was quit or excused from the team???? Crowe and Hawkins are not practicing now and I would assume are done at Powell foe the year.

10 or more! Every game they play this year. I am not a fan of either but that is crazy talk!

I will be anxious to see how that works out with Charles at the point. I know he is more than capable to play there but I am curious how he can handle constant pressure instead of being a release of pressure to a true point guard. I am not meaning that in any way as a negative comment because he is one of the top 5 players in the region IMO and a pretty good kid from what I hear.

Passion,heart,desire,love,Kentucky. They all go with baseball and Kentucky is progressing nicely partly because of the increased visibilty of high profile players but mainly because of the core group of coaches and supporters that are now promoting baseball 12 months a year and more and more kids are realizing that you don't have to be 6'9'' or bench press 400 to compete and excel. Kids will change the sport of choice over time but it is still the dedicated summer league, traveling and long time high school coaches that have brought baseball to the limelight in Kentucky. Keep the faith! Rome wasn't built or conquered in a day.

Bobby Keith and Dave Fraley come to mind based on their ability to win at all cost and their antics kept the game enjoyable. From working referees to sitting in the stands with the crowd these two were the court jesters of the mountains and great coaches. Bob Creech and guy Strong could also be added to this group.

With budget issues and schools starting to struggle financially we had better get ready for it because there is going to be a lot of job sharing in education soon. As always it will be athletics and other extra cirricular activities that will take the brunt of cuts. I do believe it is tough on an AD to coach and vice versa. I like the thought of the AD also being an tier 2 administrator. By that I mean a counselor, asst. principal, transportation director and such. Not a principal, instructional supervisor, DPP type administrator. It's coming so be prepared to wear many hats if you don't already.

Hazard is 6 to 8 points better with both teams fully staffed. SV is a great team but Hazard has to many weapons and much more depth.

Hazard has a great team but I just don't see them dominating PCC evrytime they play this year. For Hazards sake they should hope it is in the regular season and not the district or regional tourney. They could play potentially 4 times this year can't they?

I agree that Hazard is the team to beat in the 14th. However, there are 3 other legit teams that could put one in their ear if they don't play well. With the regional tourney being at Powell this year, all 4 teams will have to travel and that does effect kids. I like Hazard and do agree that KCC is the weaker of the other 3 but PCC and LCC will give them all they want.

Really? I am surpised but happy for the young man. He must have improved drastically to be able to play at GRC with their talent. Good luck to him!
