Any thoughts?

I don't know the current situation with the Wolfe County players, and don't pretend to know, but these are teenagers who are prone to make mistakes and sometimes administrators overreact to such mistakes and that can lead to the type of situation where initially it is said ____ will not return, and later _____ returns. Again, I don't know the facts of this particular situation, just asking that we remember that kids sometimes make mistakes, and that these are just kids after all. And finally, I just want to wish Mr. Gilbert the best and hope his injury is healing well and quickly. Best of luck to the Wolves and Mr. Gilbert for the rest of the season.

Lee County fans are definately the most polite and quietest group. And they *never* argue a call with the referees. They have so much respect for those officials who call the games... :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I of course want my Bobcats to win it all and think they can, but I don't think an upset is out of the question in any of the first two games. I think writing off Owsley, regardless of whether Neeley returns or not (don't know any thing about the situation, just not ready to write off a really great ball player and an all around good kid) would be a mistake. I think Estill will beat Powell, and if Lee beats Owsley, then the Estill/Lee game will be a great one. Berryman and Christopher compliment Dixon well and make Estill a powerful force to be reckoned with. I'll say this Each and Every game should be exciting. That's about as much as I'm willing to predict.

KCC should win this one but the Owls do have to potential to upset KCC as well, especially should Neeley decide to come back.

I too know many wolfe fans and parents of current and past players and there is a unamious support to remove the coach. I myself understand the connection that the coach enjoys within the school system. But those ties are aging and there is a tidal wave under the surface against the coach. I have no dog in this fight just relaying what I have heard

There was a score, but it could have been a typo thing. And maybe it was noticed and changed.

OBI is one of those schools you really cant scout. Sometimes they play team ball, like against buckhorn, or they can also just go out and not play together. It all depends. Anyway, good job JBS.

Montgomery has been inconsistant this year. They have beaten some good teams and lost to some bad ones. They showed up tonight and played well.

Lee drops one at home for the first time this year losing to Montgomery. Lee was outplayed defensively and on the boards tonight. Congrats to a very athletic Montgomery team. They played well and beat the Bobcats tonight.

I think he has to be mentioned as one of the top coaches because of what he has done. He really coaches his kids well and gets the most out of his kids of anyone that I can think of. Very good coach!

Help defense is vital in this situation too.

Pack it in on them. 2-3 zone. And make sure your kids box out because the boards are where the game will be won and lost in a game like this.

Coach Wright has a very loving fan base here in Beattyville and he has family ties to this area. Although its not impossible that he would leave, the fan support that he gets here is, in my opinion, right up there with the best in the region, maybe better. We really love the job coach wright does and no other coach puts more time in than him or cares for these kids like Danny does. Its a situation that you have to be around to fully get. I know if it were up to the fans, we would not trade Coach Wright for any other coach.

The only evidence I found of their team was by googling for it and I found some results on the WV High School basketball scoreboard. There is also another site for WV High School basketball.
