  1. Yes it was Professor. JBS had the lead at half or close to half. Then the internet radio quit on me so.... heheh just caught tid bits. But I remember it was at JBS because at the pregrame interview Hazard's coach, Mr. Spurlock said he graduated from Alice Lloyd and this was his first time back in five years.
  2. Anyone at the game? Any stats? I bet the second half was an exciting one!
  3. :scared: I can't believe this score. Congrats to Harrison County.
  4. Didn't get to hear much as the radio kept cutting in and out. Good win for Hazard. Hicks must have stepped up in the second the half of the ball game.
  5. It just goes to show that the Owls should never be counted down and out! Year to year they put together a quality program and this year, they seemed to have struggled, BUT are capable of pulling off a win on any given night. Wright and Reed and definately forces on the inside. I wouldn't write this season off (as much as Lee Co would like you to  - just j/k) Hope Smith's eye is okay. Let us know Professor if you hear anything. I always hate it when someone gets injured in the game and hope he is okay.
  6. *L* You have to forgive me. I'm blonde and as such am more prone than others to make mistakes as I'm sure you've noticed. hehehe. I can't talk and post at the same time as I have proven. Congrats to the Owls on the win though. It was definately well deserved.
  7. Owsley pulls out a close one. Breathitt was 6 of 18 from the free throw line. Smith for Owsley had 21; Neeley shot very little it seemed. Good games from Wright and Reed inside. Smith had a cut over his eye, but seemed to be okay. Breathitt had the ball with forty seconds to go, but turned it over. Some of the fans at the game were discussing how Jerry McIntosh seemed to be leading the team.
  8. You still have to make adjustments to playing in different regions. Each region's officials are different, tolerate different things, and that can play a small role trying to get used to that. Even if the 14th isn't as "stacked" as the 10th, you still have to adjust to playing in different atmospheres and courts, and locations. It's a whole lot more the level of teams.
  9. I pick Knott Central. I love the way this team plays. This team has heart, intensity, and talent. They don't back down from anyone. Their coaches and their kids are class acts.
  10. I would love to hear any other stats? Congrats to Rich, my personal favorite player and who I heard had a heck of a game! LCA is a tough team and I am surprised at the outcome.
  11. I can not believe even you would try to defend this lousy show of sportsmanship by your beloved school. There is no room in high school basketball for this kind of sportsmanship. You know where my problem lies with JBS, and it is not the kids. The easy thing is these coaches continue to prove me right about them. What happened to your story of cancelling this last Riverside game. Does something elude you, like the truth.
  12. Great win for the Bobcats. Granted it's no 100 - 29 blow out or anything , but Lexington Christian is a solid school. Congrats Bobcats on a great victory.
  13. Owsley has to potential to win, but I guess we'll have to wait and see if they can pull it off or not up at LCC.
  14. While I understand your point that someone has to play Riverside, there is a difference between playing and slaughtering. I just don't see the upside to beating a team by 71. Oh yea, I guess it raises your scoring averages, and helps your "star" players stats out.
  15. I think LCA is pretty tough, I listened to their game in the first round of the All A, and they played well and played hard. My husband is an LCA alum and I'm a Lee Co alum (both classes of '97). If not for having to take the bar exam tomorrow this could have been a war of the roses game for us According to my husband though, LCA has vastly improved their athletics program since he graduated in '97, and I think anyone who has seen or heard LCA play this year knows they are a tough team who play basketball with their whole hearts. Best of luck to both teams and I hope my Bobcats prevail.
  16. Wow that is really ridiculous ... I mean I'm all for beating a team... and playing whole heartedly, but there comes a point where it is just too much and demonstrates a total lack of sportsmanship by those in control (the coaches and coaching staff). I understand you schedule who is available, but come on... this is the second meeting between these two teams, JBS knew what to expect and went for the throat. But oh well .... I guess this score and this schedule speaks for itself.
  17. Unfortunately, he is nursing an injury also. Not sure about his status, and have not been able to attend the past couple of games, but I do know he was nursing his injury. Would rather save him up for district play than risk further injury on this game, but I'm neither his mother or his coach so I don't get to make that decision. Wish I could attend tonight. Best of Luck Bobcats.
  18. Estill is a talented and deep team that is tops in the region. Anyone who doesn't think they are, certainly hasn't been paying attention. On top of being talented, and deep, Estill's players are class acts both off and on the court, and my experience having played Estill three times, their fans are very nice. Estill has done a tremendous job for a team that has had to adjust to a new region, and I say hats off to Estill.
  19. I thought tonite was senior night for Jackson City. If so I am dissapointed for the Tigers seniors. They have had great careers. Hope we make the regionals so can see you guys again.
