  1. I'll second that Prof. Bball King always talks about the first class treatment that is extended to the visitors in the palace. I hope Owsley benefits greatly from Hosting. I know you all will do a fine job as always.
  2. Caleb Fetters from Lee Co threw a two hand slam down last njght at Estill Co on a breakaway. Was awsome
  3. Lee needs to remember what happened to the 16th region favorite last year. Morgan Co was upset in the first round of the districts and eliminated for the year. Better be ready to play come tournament time.
  4. Owsley is home for the tournament. Powell and estill will be Physical and a hard fought game. If all goes to plan Lee will face Powell for the championship should be fun
  5. no just a good game Lee was a little flat, Berryman was on fire. We got 6 or 7 point lead with under a minute and just shot FTs and they hit a couple of wild threes but we always had the lead over three so it was always a two posseion game. They hit a three with 3 seconds left and all we had to do was get it in. We threw long to Fetters and he passed to twin and we held the ball for the win. Refs were fine and Estill played hard. Hard to get a win in Irvine
  6. I have saw JBS twice and they have not impressed me though maybe I saw them on bad nights. Go 56th
  7. Caleb Fetters from Lee Co. broke away on a steal tonite and threw down an awesome two hand dunk midway through the 4th quarter. Brought the crowd to thier feet even the Estill cheerleaders were clapping
  8. All of them got real chances. I think Hazard is the real deal, I expect JBS to implode by the of the year because the Coachs decision to play family over wins, Breathitt is dangerous and talented. They are not as young as thier grade in school these are all holdbacks. PCC got beat tonite by Leslie, go figure, Lee and Powell have about the same chance as both can play with anybody but they must bring thier A games.
  9. Thats fair I am not sure about Knott though and Buckhorn needs one more player to involved in the offense. Gay, Rice, Blank make 97% of thier offense. knott seems to have alot of in fighting over who gets to shoot the ball I hear alot of people choosing sides on Knottt threads. Just mho
  10. That is a fair picture in my opinion. Just who gets hot at the right time
  11. But is so much fun to watch Hazard and PCC go at it for thier regional life
  12. Lost to Powell Co this year by 8 in Stanton. Lee County is just starting to play better not super yet but better than earlier in the year. Just finished a tough stretch and still got to play Breathitt Co. Henry Clay and Lexington Christian in the next ten days. Lee could be considered a dark horse in the 14th with wins over Buckhorn, Knott, Powell and played Hazard right down to the wire at Hazard during the all A. But a loss is a loss no excuses here.
  13. Bball king says "good one" ha-ha The Breathitt - JBS game will be a competitive one. Probaly headed for Pippa Passes tomorrow for ALC game.
  14. Lee has won 15 of the last 16 District games . Not bad for a school of 340 students 9 thru 12
  15. :thumb: Lee wins the regular season title and earns the number 1 seed in the district tournament. Lee will play 4 seed Owsley Powell will play 3rd seed Estill Should be fun in the 56 th
  16. Good game for hazard. Glad I decided to go see this. I was so unimpressed with JBS (Clint and Clark Stepp in particular). Clark was 4-18 tonight and forced everything while the others tried to do what they could. I thought the game was fairly called. Hazard just kept the momentum on their side and JBS forced way too much. Seemed like some confusion on the sideline over who was running the show. On another note, during the trophy presentation Clark turned his back to the hazard players and covered his head. JBS lost any respect I had for them tonight as the coaching staff said nothing to #12 about his lack of sportsmanship.
  17. Good Game Lee County, especially with all the illnesses. Way to battle cats.
  18. I like Coach Tiller (Estill's Coach). He can be fiery, but I tend to like fiery individuals (a la Rick Pitino, Bobby Knight, Adolf Rupp, etc.) As for the woman... as a woman, I realize I have the clear advantage when I "run my mouth" because I could hypothetically become violent, (e.g. slap a man, hit a man etc.) and he's stuck looking like a bad guy without a way to react. Anyway, am interested in how Christopher performed? IMO he is overshadowed by Berryman. Not to take away from Berryman, who is a great player, from my limited knowledge of the team, Christopher seems to be the more consistent.
  19. Congratulations Estill. I'm a little stumped by this one. I thought the Owls would perform better; but I was unaware that Brewer was still out. Wish him well and hope all the best for the neighboring Owls; as well as the 'Neers (excepting our upcoming game of course ).
  20. Congrats to Knott. Would like to know more about this one? Anyone have any stats? Did Knott shut Romans down?
  21. I'll say Estill by 5; but in Owsley's house anything can happen. The Owls love their home floor and LOVE to defend her! I believe Estill is a better team, and is playing a lot better basketball. Christopher is one of the best players in the region, in my opinion. Good Luck to both teams!
  22. JBS has played 3 teams with winning records this year...all 3 losses. So, I'm gonna go with Hazard.
