While Lee County made some critical errors, I believe the boys played their hearts out. Kenny Brandenburg was a warrior on the floor, and drove inside several times to ensure the foul and then hit his critical free throws. Toward the end of the game Kenny led the team to a victory. Another stellar starter for Lee was Landon Johnson, who while impacting the game somewhat quietly, impacts the game in a major way. Caleb Fetters played well when he drove to the inside and took on his defenders, however seemed to have a little difficulty getting his jump shot to fall. I really think Lee County played their hearts out and I love to see a team with this much heart! While Lee's offense may still be struggling somewhat...they are really hitting their free throws well; which in many games makes the difference. Jackson City is a tough team and this loss takes nothing away from them. They played hard and well and deserve much recognition for their game tonight. Tiger fans have nothing to be ashamed of, they have a talented and hard playing team. I wish them the best in their future games.

Lets not play the "if" game. It takes away from the victory. Jackson did impress me and played well, but Lee showed composure and, although a nail biter, moves to 4-1.

Where are all the nice Estill fans from last year? We miss ya'all!!!!!

I hope Lee County can win, however, Estill is coming off a pretty tough loss and will be motivated to win. Lee County's offense seems to be struggling right now, but if they can play good defense, like they did in the third quarter of the the Cordia game, Lee County should be able to win in a squeaker. I think, though, Christopher and Berryman, as well as the other Engineers will be ready to win; and I hope my Cats can keep them at bay.

Lee County bounces back from a tough loss last night to beat a tough Cordia team. It was a poor showing from point guard Kenny Brandenburg, but Aaron Charles played amazingly well. The Liesegang twins both played excellently.

It was an exciting game. Lee County, while struggling somewhat offensively, played well against a much larger Jackson County team. Go Bobcats!

Sorry to hear that my cats lost tonight, however, it is eerie how closely these two teams seem to match up. I'd definately say it's a draw, mirror image games. Congrats to the Eagles and I look forward to the competition come tournament time.

Jason Osbourne pitched a great game. Lee honored the senior members of their squad and played well.

Sorry Professor, didn't mean to be a copycat. And thanks. You know ... maybe we may be onto something if both an Owsley fan and a Lee fan can agree on somehting. - ha ha, just joking around. BigBlueFan, I'm just a fan of athleticism... unfortunately I was not blessed with any of that talent myself. I understand that parents and students aren't always as focused on academics as I tend to be or would like them to be ... but at the same time it's my opinion that this "mandatory focus" of sorts... tends to backfire... those parents and students are not any more likely to pick up the slack they've let gather the rest of the year. I do agree that maybe farther distanced games should be scheduled around testing. I don't think that taking the testing situation into consideration when scheduling and looking at travel times is unreasonable. But I do think forcing all games to be cancelled is just not a reasonable expectation, nor is it a reasonable reaction. Like I said, I don't have all (or any really) of the answers. I just don't think that there is really any benefit to forcing all games to be cancelled. I'd be curious to look at schools that don't cancel games and schools that do cancel games and compare testing scores, (and it would be especially interesting to see a history of these schools, like say see the scores before they began cancelling games) to see if there was any impact. The problem is it is so difficult to prove one way or the other because there are a lot more factors determining a student's performance than just ballgames.

I believe testing is important... and while I'm not sure the currents tests are the most effective way of measuring how a school is performing, there has to be some sort of way to measure the performance of the academic cirriculum and teachers at a school. While I think the current tests are... a load of huey, I'm not sure what the right way would be to determine if a school is "up to par" or is performing academically. All that being said, I have a lot of experience taking tests.... seven years of higher education on top of the 8 years on the academic team while in elementary, middle and high school tends to give one way too much experience with tests. hahah. I don't think a ballgame will really impact a student's performance. In all honesty, "cramming" and tyring to over prepare tends to make students more nervous and stressed and can actually lead to lower scores. Perhaps if testing days were treated as "normal" as possible, students could perform optimally. This is not to say that students should stay out all night, whatever, but I do think that permitting a game or two during testing week could help. But ... what do I know? Just my two cents.

I don't know much. He had a bandage around his upper arm yesterday after the game... but not really sure if that was froma "sports injury" or just a scratch or something else. Haven't heard that he is hurt... but I'm not always the first to know

Was a great game to watch. Lee's feilding looked a little shaky but settled down. Good win for Lee.
