Cody Gilbert has decided to sign with Transy after looking at offers from Morehead, Georgetown, Centre, and Lyndsey Wilson. Morehead's offer was a preffered walk on with the possibility of getting a scholarship the next year. Congratulations Cody.

Transy has became a good basketball school, and of course everyone knows about their academics. Cody is a 4.0 student with a 29 on his ACT. He will also be the valedictorian of his class when he graduates in next week.

Are you saying that Cody being valedictorian of his class is a done deal? Aren't there other kids at Wolfe county with a 4.0 and a good ACT? Since the last grading period isn't yet complete might not one of them have a better gpa when all is said and done? Maybe i just don't understand the process. Or are you privy to inside info?

IRREGARDLESS of whether he is Valedictorian or not, I am glad to see the Gilbert kid be that great Academically as well as a Athlete.

Didn't mean to sound "nervy". It's hard to Know how the tone of a post will be interpreted. I just wondered how someone would know who the valedictorian will be a week before he/she is chosen. I know Cody and he is a wonderful ballplayer and a good kid.

Most schools use something called projected grades. While, yes, things could change as to who is valedictorian, it is probably unlikely this late in the game.
