I hear JP Blevins might be the next coach at LCC. I am also hearing Rodney Woods name being thrown around.

Wolfe County 70 Breathitt County 68

Wolfe played as hard as any team I have ever seen play. They have one kid over 6 feet tall, yet they continued to win every single battle the whole game. Wolfe led the whole game with their only being one tie. Great Job Wolves. -

Was the game close throughout? Did the Noble kid get to play? Hazard has a big game coming up this week with another top 25 team. -

Wolfe County played a really good game and came out on top by 8. Good win Wolves.:ylsuper:

First of all the Bobcats did shoot very poorly, but they did not miss 16 lay ups, and they did not only make 16 shots. I know this because they only made 8 free throws and a couple of 3's.

Wolfe is really young, and with every game comes more experience. I am not saying they are going to win the reigion, but I really like the progress they have made. With that being said there will still be some major humps to hurdle throughout the year, but this is a good step foward. Coach Creech had his team very well prepared tonight. By the way bballer1 not showing much love for the wolves are you.......lol.

Anyone know were Jackson City and Breathitt is playing this pre season and dates? -
Where are your teams playing this pre season and the dates. I know Wolfe County will be playing in their own the night before Thanksgiving, and also at Lexington Catholic.

A good source told me, it was Lewis County's coach. May not be but my source is pretty reliable.

I to know Cody really well and according to him he is going to be Valedictorian. Or at least one of them, I think there might be 2 this year. -
Cody Gilbert to sign with Transy
The Den replied to The Den's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Transy has became a good basketball school, and of course everyone knows about their academics. Cody is a 4.0 student with a 29 on his ACT. He will also be the valedictorian of his class when he graduates in next week. -
Cody Gilbert has decided to sign with Transy after looking at offers from Morehead, Georgetown, Centre, and Lyndsey Wilson. Morehead's offer was a preffered walk on with the possibility of getting a scholarship the next year. Congratulations Cody.

Top teams in the 16th next year
The Den replied to CougarsBestFan's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I don't think any teams worry about how kids get eligible anymore, because in reality they are no schools that can say that they don't get transfers at some point or another. I have no idea were he is going, but I do know that UK is the presumed leader and Kentucky basketball as far as high school goes is much better than that of West Virginia high school hoops. In talking about getting kids eligible, it is all put onto the commissioners hands, which is crazy. Every rule about transferring is stated in terms of at the discretion of the Commisioner. I believe there should be some sort of board that gets to vote on that, and handle that board just like you would a jury.I personally feel like the KHSAA should be ran just like the NCAA, if you transfer than you have to sit out one year, the only difference is that you don't get that year of elgibility back. I mean lets face it 99% of the kids that transfer does not have a legitimate excuse, they simply try to find a places that are going to be good. If I was a player it would not mean anything to me to go to a state tournament with a team that I didn't even grow up in that county. Kids need to start taking pride in the places they are from instead of trying to take the easy way out and transferring to a place they deem better. -
How about Morgan Burton, she was all district last year as a sophmore, and all reigon since she was a freshman. She has to be considered top 5 in the reigon.
