  1. Mine is a parallel Bible, but it only has two versions, the KJV and the New Living. I really like being able to compare the two, but I find myself using KJV for content and NLV for readability.
  2. I think the minority is larger than you think it is! I can name MANY instances, just off the top of my head, where girls are upset about who plays and how much, despite the fact that the team won. I've asked some others who have coached girls and they agree.
  3. I do believe that when these brave men and women joined our military, it was with complete knowledge that they were agreeing to follow all lawful orders, whether they agreed with them or not. To make a poor analogy, I know of coaches who have banned their players from posting or reading posts on websites such as this. The things being said were detrimental to the team. Is it that insane for the government to take steps to keep up soldier morale, rather than let them be bombarded with messages against their mission? Whether we agree with the war or not, our soldiers are there and we should support them. I also think we should protect them from those who would put them down.
  4. Am I the only one that realizes the hard feelings that girls tend to have when that "back-up" player only gets to play when the two-sport star decides something else is more important. My experience has been that there is massive dissention on the team when things like that are happening.
  5. It's an awful big assumption to think that someone would take over the girls program with the understanding that Pete gets it back whenever he wants! You know what happens when you assume!
  6. First of all, a big congratulations to East Carter on the win. They never gave up and kept plugging away. I know the Raceland girls are very disappointed, but like it has already been stated, they have nothing to hang their heads over. This senior group has been involved in defining Raceland girls basketball. During their time playing, they have contributed to a lot of firsts for Raceland. The first 20 win season, the first back-to-back regional semifinal appearances, first All 'A' regional title, first ever win over Russell, first district title, and I'm sure I've probably left out a few. While this season may have ended sooner than we all would have liked, the legacy of this season and this group of girls will live on.
  7. Anna Chaffin - Russell Don't know the year, but it was her first as head coach, if I remember correctly!
  8. Rachael went for an MRI at about 12:30. Don't know when she'll get results.
  9. :dancingpa CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!!! Thoughts and prayers with Rachael. She went down in the exact same spot on the floor as three other injuries in this tournament. I walked over that spot after the game and there is a definite dip in the floor. Lewis County definitely needs to look at maintenance on their floor. How is it that Russell could only manage to have 5 students in their student section?!
  10. The problem is not that girl's coaches do not want to schedule prime time games, it is that boy's coaches do not want to change their schedules to allow it to take place. Also, I believe, only home games count for prime time.
  11. GREAT win for the Lady Rams. Almost brought tears to this Ram's eyes! Years of being denied by West Carter and now light at the end of the tunnel! Take care of business Saturday night ladies!
