SV has nothing to hang their heads over! An excellent season, and next year is still promising! Even with an off shooting night for him, Justice was indeed impressive!

I have to acknowledge all the banter from the fans from both schools. I believe this thread has shown thus far, that everyone was just supporting their team. This thread has been classy from both sides, and the matchup was interesting. Once again, congrats to Holmes, and best of luck tonight.

I agree that I have seen multiple games where ferg has had a great first half and he is not found during the second. I dont believe this is intentional, but it doesnt neccesarirly mean that defensive adjustments shut him down either. I beleive that EC is an equal oppurtinity employer, they dont analyze, they just throw it to the open man. I believe at halftime they realize ferg is eating them alive and they adjust. To believe that Elliot wont adjust also, is ................................................

Lets face it, it boils down if Eastern can turn it up another notch in the finals, that bracket is over. No insult intended to the rest of the bracket, but it will take a major upset to keep them from the finals.

Eastern plays in the 7th region with losses to a team ranked in the top 5 by most polls during the year. Corbin has been consistent by most teams standards, but did not play the schedule of Eastern, and Knox Central, South Laurel, and even Scott, are not Jtown.

Johnson Central in the 15th but the 16th is harder to call without research. Population decline in Boyd County has been drastic for some time.

You make a good point here. I cant help but make an observation on the nature of these boards when you have opened the door though. Picture this highly possible theoretical situation. Holmes wins but someone from Elliott mentions they didnt have the legs left. Everyone on the board says they are making excuses, but yet they are not. They are stating reasons why they lost. I despise when posters are making concessions on why they lost, but everyone calls them excuses.

:thumb: An excellent statement. On top of conditioning, can they immediately adjust to the split second decisions at that pace. I dont believe they will try to run. I agree that I look forward to this game if it comes to pass, and also agree that I enjoy what these guys have to post.

I picked Eastern because I feel they have been more consistent throughout the year. It should be a great game and may the best team win.
