  1. I agree on both points and wasn't aiming my post at either, just trying to redirect.
  2. If there isn't a tie. Tell this to East Carter in the boys thread.
  3. If the refs are consistent, you could argue that a coach can have his team adjust. If you have no depth this can be a problem as well as game plan preparation, however. I believe it is a double edged sword but, I still prefer the switch.
  4. Congrats to Boyd, a very nice win!
  5. Congrats to the Elliott County Lady Lions!
  6. Im not going to debate who the top players in the 16th are, and this is not the thread for it. I have by no means seen all the top sophomores and freshman in the state this year. That being said, Mike Terry is by far the most impressive freshman I have seen in some time. Some of the Rose Hill faithful may even blast me for this but, he has a much better game than Bill Walker had as a freshman.
  7. A great story! Best wishes for both the rest of the season, and beyond.
  8. Congrats lady lions! Ive only seen a few games, but I was very impressed with the way they play the game!
  9. It was an impressive 4th by MC but that is a big "without"!
  10. I feel the same way. Call it like you see it and ignore the foul count. Sometimes team A just penetrates more and sometimes team B is not focused and wont move their feet. I rarely argue foul discrepancy, but I do complain a lot when it appears that officials are trying to even up the count.
  11. Nice story Wireman! I may disagree with you on other forums from time to time, but I admire your passion!
  12. I realize this post is going to sound hypocritical from me, especially since I was not at the game. I am as bad as any to blast posters for blaming a loss on the officials. I cant understand, however how a certain official can pick the games he calls, when it has been complained for decades how he always makes controversial calls in a couple of teams favor. I feel that I am being very kind by using the word controversial. I will leave it at that.
  13. A different post said he was fired befor the district opener, I have no idea if that is true. If it is true, and there were not extenuating circumstances, this has to be a terrible disservice to this team due to the timing of the decision.
  14. Nice win for the comets! I felt that Morgan was playing as good as anyone in the region going in, barring Elliott!
  15. If this is true, without some drastic circumstances, the system not the players, deserve the loss. How can timing be any worse?
  16. Im guessing the word "much" was meant to be in there. If not, Im confused as well.
  17. Bluegrass Will you alway seem to capture the spirit of the game. Your work is greatly appreciated!
  18. I agree. I wish SV the best of luck also!
